Welcome to the forums!

It has happened to me too, specially when I try to take a pic after digging and obtaining a rare item

Thank you so much :hugs:

It happens to me too. Anything that has the zoi taking the photo disappears: the backpack I carry to class, the food I’m eating, the visual effects (hearts, sparkly trails, etc.). If I want them to appear in the photo, it must be taken by another zoi from their position (and that’s not always possible, so I miss many good shots).

I take a lot of photos (I base my gameplay mainly on taking consecutive photos, creating a kind of diary of what’s happening), and between that and the fact that zois can’t take photos if they’re holding something, I’m fed up.

Please, developers, let us take photos freely ourselves, not as a simulation of a zoi taking them. Just like a normal screenshot (this can’t be that hard), and that covers the entire screen—I play on an ultra-wide screen, and the photos the game lets me take are ridiculous.

Steak and grill fire vanishes in photo mode

A temporary workaround would be to stay in Live Mode, use “U” to remove UI, and then take a screenshot, but I really hope they will fix this so that we can use the photo mode effects. This also reminds me I need to finish my guide about taking photos in InZOI… I waited because I knew things would change after the October update.

Not even sure what the reason would be for things disappearing in photo mode like this  I noticed that certain fish in the sea disappear too in that mode, so I avoid it for underwater photos.

When I hide the UI, the second floor of the building vanishes, and when I move up, I can’t take pics from groundfloor (see this post) ö.ö
Camera movement is really a nightmare, and it even got worse after the update.

This is not a bug, it’s a feature being worked on. Kjun already said in his last Friday message that FX persistence in Photo Mode is already being added, we’ll get it sooner than later.

@itsmechiie7 I understand the fire, but the steak counts as an FX too? Unless it counts as an FX because it’s tied to an animation. That would make sense if I think about it that way, but I never considered that lol

Huh, I wonder if this is an issue with Cahaya, because I don’t think I’ve ever run into this problem otherwise, but maybe I just wasn’t paying attention or didn’t care.

I’m disappointed by how many things disappear in Photo Mode. Having your fishing Zoi holding nothing but air is bad enough, but recently I tried to take a shot of the Zoi busking in the park and of course his guitar vanished. I wanted to use Photo Mode rather than just a live shot so I could adjust the time of day lighting. Sigh.

I do believe the steak and the fire are part of the same special effect  and that is why it disappears! Butlet’s wait for some dev to give us a definitive answer :crossed_fingers:

The same problem. Not only effects but every object disappears. Guitar, phone, book, everything is out and my Zoi holds nothing in photo mode heh

Everything that the zoi is carrying disappears from the photo (the backpack, the phone, the food, etc.). The only way for those items to appear in the photo is to prepare the screen and switch to another zoi without moving the screen, and then take the photo. It’s a hassle, and you need to have another zoi active nearby…

I hope they fix it soon, although this has been happening with some things before, and it’s gotten worse since the update. Also, I’ve noticed (at least in my game) that the camera, whether in photo mode or live mode, doesn’t stay still but slowly moves up or, more often, down.

Hi @LennyOgg, @LazyTaco, @itsmechiie7, @Klinn,
I’ve merged your topic into an existing discussion that covers the same issue. Feel free to follow here for updates and continue the discussion here.

Hi everyone (@here),
Currently, it is expected that some objects are not displayed in Photo Mode. However, as you mentioned, we understand this can be inconvenient.
We’re reviewing the possibility of improving this behavior and will share updates once available.
Thank you for your understanding.

After not playing for quite some time, I recently returned to Inzoi and was pleasantly surprised to see how some things work much better, for example, autonomy. Also, NPCs’ needs were fixed too, so they are no longer “dying” of hunger and sleep on the streets, which is also fantastic, thank you very much! :hugs::sparkling_heart:

However, now I’ve noticed another possible bug, which I find quite annoying for me because I really like taking photos and I’m a big fan of the camera mode, so I decided to mention it here to see if anyone else is experiencing it. As it turns out, when I go to take a photo, I use the pause button to freeze the action, so that the zoi doesn’t move and everything comes out perfect, but lately, when I pause, whatever object my zoi is using disappears, as we can see in the following photos:

Here Rowan is wearing his backpack. If I take the photo without pausing the camera, the backpack is there.

But if I use the camera pause button… the backpack disappears.

The same happened to Bradley during his wedding, when I paused the camera, the ring box disappeared.

When I unpaused, the ring box reappeared, but I missed some beautiful moments of the wedding because of this issue. Also because, in camera mode, you have to click the play button again, instead of just unpausing, and that causes you to miss a few precious seconds of the scene in question. This wouldn’t matter if the objects didn’t disappear when you paused, but the fact is they do disappear, and at least for me, that’s an inconvenience.

These photos here are just an example. But the same thing happens with several other objects, such as the pillow when zois take a nap, which is inconvenient if you want to get the perfect photo because you have to remove the pause for the object to reappear, so the zoi moves and you lose the moment.

I want to clarify that this did NOT happen before the latest update and fixes, at least not the last time I played, which was just over a month ago. I hope you can look into this please and help me.

And since we’re talking about the camera, it’s well known that you can’t take photos (with in game camera) when a zoi is holding certain objects, such as a coffee cup, a glass of water, or even a bottle when feeding a baby. I never understood why this is the case. I feel that an object should not be an impediment to take photos, cause there are moments with the zois holding those objects that are really cute and worth capturing. Why can’t we?

I’m aware that this other issue (not being able to take photos while holding an object) has already been mentioned in other posts, and I totally agree this needs to change. We need all objects to appear or be visible on camera, especially for us players who like storytelling, and those of us who, like me, are serial photo shooters, lol.

That is all about it, thanks in advance for your kind attention. Have a wonderful day.

Hi @anamoon63, I merged your report into this thread since it’s about the same issue—just wanted to let you know.
As Owen mentioned, we’re aware of the objects disappearing in Photo Mode and are planning improvements.

We’ll share an update once there’s progress.

Oh, that’s cool! Sorry, I wasn’t around much lately so I definitely missed this topic. (At least I’m not the only one this is happening to). Thank you very much for letting me know, I’ll keep an eye on how this develops!
