I noticed this “greyness” in a YouTuber’s video too!
Hi, I’m reporting a problem with “events” in general, introduced with the latest update. I’ve experienced both the “welcome to the neighborhood” event (when you start the game a neighbor comes to visit you) and the “fitness meetup” event (when you go to work out by invitation) being impossible to complete. The action list is greyed out, meaning I can’t have the character perform them. It literally tells me that “no action is available for the current event”, and on top of that the event suddenly ends by itself after a few seconds. This way I couldn’t do anything with the events and it’s a real shame because they add a bit of dynamism to the game.
I also report more or less the same problem with the “candy event” and I’m attaching a photo even though it’s very small
Actually, I’m not sure if this is a bug or simply a very inconvenient mechanic, but if when the candy event starts the character selected by the player is a child, the event for the child remains greyed out and doesn’t appear for any adult character in the family. This makes it impossible to complete this event as well, unless the player makes sure to keep an adult selected until the NPC child arrives. Really very inconvenient, I’d say.
