Cannot delete or modify custom furniture

After placing custom furniture, it cannot be deleted or modified.

Clicking does not even select it.

There is also a bug where the ceiling is pierced above the stairs.

Regarding the non-deletable furniture, there is maybe a way to delete it when you draw a wall through them.
User @Yoshimou suggested this → here and it also worked → here

I just wanted to second that I encountered this bug also just now; thankful to LennyOgg for the fix!

I have also encountered this bug, it doesn’t matter which custom object, after 1-2 uses they all become just objects. Cannot select them, cannot delete in build (unless i take out the floor or use a wall as @LennyOgg suggested.) Hope this can be fixed, love the custom furniture option!

I had this bug on a custom office chair, for some reason it reverted back to default colors and was completely unclickable, I deleted the desk it was linked to then clicked the step back arrow, it then made it so I could click on the chair but after saving and returning to the game it was unclickable again.

I did find a workaround; I have the desk and custom chair saved, so delete the desk with unclickable chair then replace it with the saved setup. But no telling how often we have to do this because I haven’t used that desk setup recently.

I’ve encountered an issue where created furniture becomes non-clickable.

Details:

  • the furniture is still used by characters and functions normally,

  • but it cannot be clicked,

  • no interaction icons appear,

  • and it cannot be moved or deleted in build mode.

As a result, if the furniture is no longer needed, there is no way to remove or reposition it, even though the game still recognizes it.

Ouf yes, that’s also a very old bug that never got fixed.
My workaround is to go to build mode, draw a wall through the furniture and then I click on the ‘undo’ icon.
After switching back to live mode, the furniture is useable again
(at least until the next session, that is ö.Ö’)
Edit: If you want to delete it, just draw the wall though it

Good idea, thank you! I did this with a computer that was placed on a desk — I removed the desk and bought the computer again — but I didn’t think about doing the same with the wall, haha.

I just discovered this bug as well - it happens every time I reload the game. Very annoying if you have several items of custom furniture.
