Modkit launches abnormally slow

  • Modkit Version:20251101.8438.W.MODKIT.EGS

  • Platform: Steam windows

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System OS version WIN11, CPU i9 14900KF, GPU 4090, RAM 32G, storage 2T

Could this be caused by the official addition of more content? However, at this rate, with future content only increasing, the situation – including launch times and the need for repeated restarts due to unresponsiveness – is likely to worsen. Is optimization possible?

Hi @FilmingirL,

I have moved your post to a more suitable category so it’s easier for others to find.

I wanted to follow up and check whether you’re still experiencing the slow Modkit launch and unresponsive behavior. Your update will help us determine the next steps for investigation. Thanks in advance!

This startup issue only appeared after the November version update,

specifically the 20251101.8438.W.MODKIT.EGS update.

The launch time has dramatically increased from about 1 minute to 5-6 minutes.

It occasionally becomes unresponsive. I have backed up and deleted my own 40+ MODs,

but the problem persists. I suspect it might be caused by the newly added hairstyles and other templates.

I wonder if there’s a good method to bypass this unnecessary read/loading process~

Hi @FilmingirL,
It would be very helpful if you could share the ModKit execution log with us.

You can find it here:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\inZOIModKit\Saved\Logs\inZOIModKit.log

I found the execution log, but it seems the forum doesn’t support uploading formats other than media files.

I will go to the official website and submit the form. Thanks for your answer!

Glad this issue has been resolved. The latest version of Modkit, 20251221.9433.W.MODKIT.EGS, now launches in just 10 seconds.

Moreover, it has restored the original icon. I like this icon; it’s very intuitive.:100:

Hi @FilmingirL! We were actually going to check back with you to see if the issue was resolved after the update, so thank you for letting us know first.
We’re really glad to hear that the issue has been resolved. :psycat_blush:

Since the reported problem is no longer occurring, I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
If you run into any other issues with the Modkit, please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
