Also, in general, the auto-drive UX feels quite glitchy. Sometimes it works and I instantly transport without realizing it, but sometimes it doesn’t do anything… but either way there’s no animation. I think having some kind of simple and quick UI transition or effect would be great, even just a sparkle and dissolve on the car and then my Zoi appears in the next location (like how a snowman appears with an animation). Right now, I guess it just “happens” without any visduals or effects?
I also experiencing this on my new save and old save. I uninstall everything including mods and resetting all settings, still my zois just teleport and the car not moving.
I watched your YT video, thanks for capturing the bug. Then tried it in my game. The devs must’ve changed the interaction & animation for auto-driving, I guess. We used to see the cars drive a bit, like around the next intersection for example, then a loading screen and another short drive next to the destination. That’s not implemented anymore it seems.
I’m having the same issue. When my Zoi gets into her car she gets transported to a random place close to the location she needs to be but the car never move. The animation of driving is not existent and she gets out from the car and starts walking instead. Before the December update when the zoi got to the location it would show a little of driving animation before getting to the place. Right now the car is just a teleportation device if you use auto-drive. I attached a small clip so you guys can see the issue.
I’m having this same issue where the car is now just a teleportation device. The zoi will just sit in the car, and a loading screen pops up. Then, when the loading screen is over, it shows them just sitting in the car, and then they’ll get out and walk the rest of the way to their destination. This pretty much makes automatic driving useless, and forces you to use manual driving, even though they haven’t implemented an easy way to navigate to your destination via manual driving. Not having automatic driving work as it did before really breaks the immersion and storytelling aspect of the game.
