Family tree from the zoi card not working for me

I was very excited to have family trees available in the game, so last night I tried to view the family tree for the Abbot family, which I’m playing with to test the new update. I clicked on the icon on the family’s zoi card, but all I could see was this:

I don’t know if this is exactly what we should be seeing, I clicked everywhere on the screen, but I couldn’t see anything. This is all there is for me, so if anyone can tell me what to do next, or what I am doing wrong, I’d appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Little update: I just checked one of my families in Cahaya and everything seems fine with their family tree. Still, I don’t know what’s wrong with the Abbots (Bliss Bay).

It’s strange, why the family tree appears in old saves too.

Have you tried clicking on both, left or right?

For the Abbot family I clicked on everything; nothing happened. For my Cahaya family, clicked on everything; it worked fine. None of the two families are old saves. By “old” I mean, from before the December update.

I have 3 old, completely updated save files and the family tree option is available and working in all of them. I didn’t know that it isn’t supposed to work in old saves

its working in my old and new save files too. For Abbott family as well. @anamoon63 did you try loading another save then coming back to this one to see if it resets itself? Or actually go into their household to play them and see if you can see their family tree?

In a brainstorming session, Kjun had said that maybe it wouldn’t work, which is why I had slowed down the game with the Bliss Bay families. But fortunately it works

Mmm, maybe I should try a fresh save of the Abbot’s, as I accessed their household via an old save of another family, whose family tree is bugged too. Family trees in other saves from different households are working fine, so there is a high chance this particular save is the problem. I’ll check it out and post the results later. Thank you for the suggestion!

Yep, indeed, the save file I was playing must be corrupted, since in another save file, the Abbot family tree and those of other families in Bliss Bay appear correctly. The same for saves in other towns. Also, yes, the family tree works for both new and old saves. So, as far as I’m concerned, I consider my problem solved. Thanks again @zoiAddic and everyone else who replied to this thread. :hugs::sparkling_heart:
