I’ve noticed this too. When I’m off site doing other things and then walk into my own business in the middle of the day, it’s almost deserted. But shortly after I arrive, the place fills up with customers.

Which city are you playing in? My zoi has a café in Cahaya and it still makes profit while she’s gone. It’s not as much profit as all three zois are worming constantly to cook, bake, make coffee etc.

All three cities. Still making profit yes, but much fewer customers than when I’m in. Even when I am in but contribute nothing (basically just watching), the profit is better than when I’m not in at all. This suggest that customer numbers are driven by the player zoi’s presence. This is similar in the open world actually. When you zoom by on a motorbike or scooter, some pavements are pretty empty. When you stop and wait, it fills up. It would make sense from a performance point of view, but for businesses it’s not helpful

Which city are you playing in?

I am in the Bliss Bay city.

I visited the business after hours to take a look, and all the shelving was full as if sales were not being made.

This completely disregards the option of setting the business to ‘Management Only’ as you will just get barely any turnout. I even paired this with an ‘Advertise Business’ on the computer and the sales dropped considerably making me lose profit than gain it. I was pulling 2-4k profit per day with me being there, and then -1.2k without me there (working close by at 421 Sunset Nose Cove Road, the other business is located at c)

Also if it helps, here are my 2 businesses:

  • 915 Ocean Crest Ave: Cafe
  • 421 Sunset Nose Cove Road: Restaurant

i agree! I don’t see how we can own franchise if we need to be present on site in order to make good profit. Our zoi’s can’t be in multiple places at once

Yeah its dumb, and Krafton won’t even acknowledge this post. It’s so bad I stopped playing because it’s literally causing me to lose profit, even though my first business is 5 stars… Hopefully they fix it but I don’t foresee it anytime soon.

  • Game Version: latest

  • Platform: (Steam Windows & Steam Linux (Proton)

  • Mods: none

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System RTX 3060, 64G ddr5, 2TB disk, Debian Sid / W11, Core i7 7700k

  • Steps to Reproduce: Create a business, add employees, do not go to the business and expect losses every day.

**When purchasing a business, even when selecting the option to not be present during work hours, the shops generate massive losses unless the zoi goes to the shop.

Even if the zoi just stands there doing nothing the shop will perform well. But if the zoi leaves the shop generates losses.

This makes impossible to own several businesses at once to generate a passive income.**

I think this is the same issue that has been discussed here before. I hope it will be added to known issues and fixed as soon as possible.

Hi @redpandita

Thanks for reporting this. As it matches the Business do not attract zois when the player isn’t there causing the player to lose profit issue, I’ve combined your post with the existing thread to keep discussions organized.
