After Shopping: Carrying Items in a Cart
After purchasing items, they should not disappear into a menu.
Instead:
- Items are placed physically into a shopping cart
- The cart is pushed by the Zoi through the store
- You can see what you bought inside the cart (bags, bottles, boxes, etc.)
At checkout:
- Items are scanned one by one
- After paying, items are:
- Placed into shopping bags
- Or kept loose in the cart, depending on the store
From Store to Home
- The Zoi leaves the store pushing the cart
- At the car or public transport:
- Items are loaded into the trunk
- Or carried in bags by hand
- At home:
- Items must be taken out of the bags
- Stored manually in cupboards, drawers, fridge, bathroom, or wardrobe
Nothing is automatic.
Why This Is Important
- Keeps immersion realistic
- Makes shopping feel like a real activity, not a UI action
- Adds weight, planning, and consequence (you can forget things in the cart)
- Matches inZOI’s realistic and detailed world
Shopping should feel like a real-life process, from shelf → cart → checkout → home.
Fridge With Visual States (Full, Half-Full, Empty)
The fridge should visually change based on what the player stores inside.
- If you buy and store a lot of food → the fridge appears full
- If you store only a few items → the fridge appears half-full
- If you don’t store anything → the fridge is empty
When opening the fridge:
- You see different in-game visuals, not a menu:
- A fully stocked fridge
- A partially stocked fridge
- An empty fridge
No generic inventory screen.
Realistic Interaction
- Groceries must be manually placed inside the fridge after shopping
- Food and drinks are visible on shelves and drawers
- When food is used, it visually disappears from the fridge
- If no food is inside, the Zoi simply has nothing to eat
