Interactive Movie Theaters & Player-Created Films

Movie Theaters as a Real Activity:

I would love to see movie theaters added to the game where Zois can physically enter the building, sit down, and watch a movie together. This would be a social activity for dates, friends, and group outings, rather than just watching something on a TV screen at home.

Different From Regular TV Watching:

Instead of showing generic video content like a TV, movie theaters should feel special. Going to the movies should be an event, with Zois arriving, sitting in seats, reacting to the film, and leaving together afterward.

Player-Created Movies:

inZOI already has great tools for creating scenes and stories. It would be amazing if players could create short mini movies using the game and submit them to be shown in theaters. These could be fully player-made films created inside the game.

Monthly Movie Challenges:

There could be monthly challenges where players submit short movies they’ve created. From those submissions, a small number of creators (for example, 2–3 per month) could be selected to have their movies premiere in theaters in-game.

In-Game Movie Premieres:

Once a month, a new set of player-created movies could premiere in theaters. This would give players a reason to visit the movie theater regularly, knowing that new content has dropped and is worth watching.

Multiple Genres:

Submitted movies could fall into different genres such as:

  • Romance

  • Comedy

  • Thriller

  • Drama

  • Experimental or artistic

This would add variety and replay value.

Community Engagement:

Bringing the community into the movie system would make theaters feel alive and meaningful. Players would be excited to attend premieres, support creators, and see what others have made inside the game.

Optional Future Expansion:

This system could later tie into acting careers, directing, writing, or fame systems, but even as a standalone feature it would add a unique reason to go out into the city.

One of my favorite games growing up was β€œThe Movies.” This would be such a fun idea!
