omg it was the false pier, I moved the camera to the other pier and there is another Zoi stuck!
Edit2: No it’s the same Zoi and I’ve emergency rescued him last time
Hello everyone! I’ve also encountered the ocean disappearing bug, although in my case it happened in Cahaya. It occurred a few days ago, I believe on February 3.
The issue was resolved by reloading the save, just like in the original poster’s case.
I also managed to record the bug on video (originally, I was recording a video for a friend to show her the game and its features, but it happened to coincide with this bug). I’m not sure if a video like this would be helpful, but I thought I’d mention it just in case.
I’m leaving this comment here in case it helps someone. Maybe it could also help identify the cause of the bug, or determine how common or serious it is.
This is my first comment on this forum, so I apologize in advance if there are any mistakes.
This happens to me, off and on, in Cahaya. For me, it seems to be related to another bug in the game, like something goes wrong and it triggers this error. Last time, it was the wife becoming an NPC. Initially, she could walk underwater, then she started walking on water with no water in sight. Fish were swimming, jellyfish bobbing, but there was no water. This turned into walking through water, where, no matter how deep the water was, it only came up to her eyes.
When she became playable again, the water came back.
@LennyOgg Did you ever come across the “spouse becomes NPC” bug in your save file? I really thought the disappearing ocea issue was somehow connected to Zois incorrectly becoming NPCs but I think I was wrong
Oh right, I remember reading through that thread. There has to be some weird core-system-bug somehow. The ocean, Zois becoming NPCs, major need cheats not working. Honestly, I’m kinda afraid to wake up to a “corrupted” save file one day at this point =(
yes I read that post but we can’t tell from NPC’s if we can breath, this question was on my mind before reading that post, thanks tho I’m hoping someone can test this
But in inZOI being not able to breathe isn’t a thing (yet)? We can’t dive freely and get our Zois under the water surface. There is just the snorkeling interaction with no breathe bar either (iIrc)? So we wouldn’t know.
