No, content creators are not “just like us” they are here to help promote and market the game.
We are also content creators in a way. We promote the game to our families and friends, show them the game, and convince them to buy it, so we deserve the same treatment.
Exactly, we non-content creators litterally ALREADY own the game. If anyone is re-interested after dropping the game, they ALREADY own it. If the promotion content interest them, the 5 day gap between giving it to content creators and giving it to everyone litterally makes ZERO difference in there willingness to turn the game back on again.
That’s exactly the point I’m making about OP’s feedback about the early access to influencers and content creators. Hype needs to be evoked with current players to revisit inZOI too
Yeah in an alternative timeline maybe
I’m saying that hype is the same with or without that 5 days. It’s doing litteral nothing except creating an access gap to people who were going to engage with the content anyway… also this early in the game’s life, you haven’t found your unexpected hit maker yet.
Someone really good at storytelling who hasn’t been “found” yet and isn’t in the inner circle yet, there ability to start growing InZoi content in its infancy, a game they are excited about, now has a wall around it. So I don’t buy any special hype it wouldn’t have anyway is created by this 5 day gap.
So? It’s not like they’re releasing the game gradually in a way that only the 50 first actual inZOI purchasers get access on the 20th and so on
Have some patience, read up a bit on what it has to offer and in a few days it’ll unlock for the general public and be done with this discussion. Until the next DLC is on the horizon, I reckon.
Its five days, and I work so I probably wouldn’t have time to play anyway. This is a long stretch, sit down, make a cup of tea game. But I will STILL agree with the OP’s point even if ‘it’s only 5 days’. If its “only” 5 days, shouldn’t be a big deal to give it to everyone.
BEFORE early access made sense because they needed to sell copies, they sold it. Pre-Early Access it had the potential of attracting new players who hadn’t heard of the game yet.
AFTER 1.0 which is when, I assume, PAID DLC will exist, makes sense, you are selling them new content they are going to BUY.
If I am hyper engaged with the game, I’m on that content the second I can get to it and I already paid my entrance fee of $40. The 5 day gap with content creators is irrelevant, I already bought in.
If I am a person who bought in and STOPPED playing, I am gonna re-engage at whatever point the content catches my eye, within the 5 days, after the 5 days. 15 days from now. And I don’t have to buy again, I just have to boot it up or maybe re-download and boot it up.
And you’ve limited other creators who want to make content on the game and COULD be giving you more FREE promotion by engaging with the content since they don’t have the content yet either.
In its infancy…where we are now (not pre-early access), these tactics are litteraly pointless. You get the same level of promotion with people who dialed out with or without those 5 days. In fact, you’re limiting you’re promotion because other people who could be making content, can’t.
It isn’t just about the people already playing the game, there are others who don’t own the game, aren’t familiar with Inzoi and don’t know what features will be included in the new update who may be more likely to purchase because of what a content creator showcases.
This is nothing new, please let’s not make an issue where there isn’t one. OP is just disgruntled because others have the new update and are making content for it, I personally am thankful this is being done because I get to find out what new things coming in the update that I would not have gone to read up about myself.
On a very small scale yes, but does that mean larger content creators should not be allowed to promote the new coming features to a larger audience a few days earlier (not even a month earlier) and let people who might not have heard about inzoi or who might be considering whether or not to buy inzoi, know what is coming?
Launches are a way to build excitement and anticipation and bring more players in. It does not affect your ability to play when the update officially releases in any way.
I agree, the release date is what it is, it would be this way whether the content creators got access to it 5 days before or not. No use whining about it when you’re getting it in literally 5 days.
Sorry, that’s exactly my point. Its for NEW players, who are going to be just as engaged with or WITHOUT the 5 day gap. That’s the core point.
I think the OP has a right to be disgruntled, being disgruntled isn’t neccessarily wrong.
You’re actually wrong, this is the reason launches exist. People are way more engaged building up to a launch than after it has been released.
Hence why it is common practice. They’re not doing it bc they want content creators to have a fantastic time before everyone else does. They’re doing it to build engagement and promote the game.
Well I agree with your opinion here. However we don’t know what is required to join the affiliate programme to receive early, early access.
I’m almost sure that content creators/YouTubers send over bug reports so the general DLC release works even better, right from the start.
But overall we’re still in the early release phase so discussing about who gets what first seems pointless to me. Instead I’d rather see the wishlist/bug reports categories getting filled with actual topics that are worth reading and may actual offer great suggestions/bug reports that improves gameplay for all of us.
Because let’s be honest, the concurrent players on Steam isn’t viable to keep developing for. So I hope people will return to inZOI soon
Remark about this, it’s also targeted towards CURRENT players that abandoned inZOI.
Nah, I think you’re off base here and are just lashing out. They need to build hype to raise player numbers PERIOD. This game cannot be a success without marketing and hype, this is how you build it. I learned about INZOI in the first place from Youtubers. They are integral for marketing as its the cheapest way to market directly to your target audicence. Its 5 days dude, be patient.
Sure, but in that case how do you expect for the game to advertise itself? We live in modern times where extending the opportunity to play a game or even an early update to content creators aka public people to advertise the product is the standard and best approach.
None puts them on a pedestal, what are you even talking about…
Some of the You Tube partners are insufferable. Their graphics are bad and they don’t demo the game well. The way they show it sometimes just feels like a lie, like it looks like there’s more than there really is from the way they edit things. Any critical comment is immediately deleted.
AMD players still pay full price and don’t get the full game experience. That could be handled better by the devs if they cared. I shouldn’t be expected to pay for “experimental features” I can never use.
I already said above why the 5 day gap is irrelevant for current players as well, when they see there’s new content, the interest in playing it or not is irrelevant to if they see it now, 5 days from now, or 15 days from now. You either have interesting content that brings them back on not. And if they need to be recaptured, they likely stopped watching people heavily promoting InZoi awhile ago anyway. And if they haven’t stopped watching InZoi stuff on social media, those 5 days aren’t going to make their decision, the content is, the 5 day gap is irrelevant for any significant affect on new or returning players. And for existing players, its just making them wait for an irrelevant marketing thing because “other games do it”.
