Better Multi-Family Management

I am a person who likes rotational play and likes to have multiple familes in the same save (that I created) and right now, that requires a ton of work around in InZoi. Create a Family lets you make a new family in the same save, but then you can’t select that family and move them into a property on the map (unless I am missing something).

Right now I have a save with two families, the Tomayo family and the Carter Family in Dowan. And what I had to do is simply replace a family that was already occupying a house with my own Zoi. As there were available free lots I would have rather not had that be the way I had to do it. But it was the only way to get them from “not in city” into a property and be able to play them from there. Otherwise they were in a “Not in City” void and unplayable.

Despite the property now being occupied by the Carters, the photo and bio of the Park Family is Perma to that property it seems (tho I was able to change the family name after moving my Zoi in).

Am I missing something, is there an easier way to make multiple families in a save AND be able to move them into an open property after. And also ensure the photo and bios get changed via the new occupancy. And if not, a small request from me is that creating a family actually gives you the option to add them to the city from the All Families Management Screen, including bio and photo editing.

I think the way it’s intended is moving households via the map.

Just click on the lot you want them to move in and then you select the family from the household menu.

Another option is to relocate your family from the lot they currently live to another lot.

Ahh, thank you, I swear that is not intuitive and I never saw that. I still think its a bit confusing and unclear and it would be easier to select from All Families and option to move into a property.

I figured out how to relocate a family who lives on the map, I just didn’t know how you could place a second family in the same save.

I’ll give this a try and see if it works with a random “bin” family. I was getting really frustrated.

I still think having an option under “Not in City” families to “move into property” then get to select a propery for them would make way more sense.

Hello, I’m not sure where to write this, but I would like to suggest a feature for families. It would be nice to be able to save families to canvas with their relationships and history and skills, so if I have to start over a save, I can just put back the zois in worlds without having to start the storyline all over again

Agree, I hate that Zoi have to be saved as individuals and you can’t save a family group. Even if just to preserve family progress it would be nice in early access as if certain features only work in a new save, I can just pull the family from Canvas and insert them into a new save so they get all the benefits of a new save without me having to start over with new Zoi.

Yes I remembered I figured out how to do it at some point but I guess forgot, I’m glad someone else remembered and responded. But yeah the rest of the stuff you said I would hope and guess they will implement and just haven’t gotten there yet, if not hopefully they will

Yes this would be wonderful and super helpful if they implemented this

Good idea, this would be very helpful in EA for restarts without going back to square one.

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently tried out these options too, but then I encountered the problem that the life of the family which I do not play with continues.

Let’s say I create a family and let it move in (Family A). Then I relocate some family members to another house (Family B). When I now go on playing with Family B, the life of Family A goes on. Having deactivated their free will, the zois of Family A will not do anything and eventually starve.

I thought by relocating Family B and playing with it as active family, Family A would automatically pause.

Do you know how I can play with only one active family? (Without having to active the other families’ free will)

Thanks in advance!
