Enhanced Driving, Physics, and Realistic Consequences

One of the areas where Inzoi could feel even more immersive is in its driving and vehicle mechanics. Currently, driving is fun, but it could benefit from added realism, physics, and consequences that reflect real life.

Here are some suggestions:

  1. Vehicle Physics & Suspension

    • Scooters, bikes, and cars should behave with proper suspension and physics. For example, if you crash a scooter, your Zoi should fall off instead of simply continuing to ride. This could lead to small injuries as well.

    • Cars should realistically react to bumps, curbs, and sidewalks instead of being blocked by them — players should be able to drive over them, just as in real life. Vehicles should have realistic suspension and physics in general.

  2. Crash Consequences & Damage

    • Collisions should have visible and mechanical consequences, such as dents, broken headlights, cracked windshields, or difficulty steering or handling if the car is badly damaged. When you crash into someone or a car, they should not just disappear or anything as it takes away some immersion.

    • Severe accidents could result in the vehicle becoming undrivable until repaired.

    • Crashes could affect your Zoi as well — injuries, hospital visits, or recovery time.

  3. Legal & Social Consequences

    • If your Zoi hits another character, there should be real consequences. This could mean lawsuits, fines, jail time, or negative reputation (especially if injuries are serious or lethal)

    • If a crash results in serious harm, your Zoi might experience guilt, stress, or long-term emotional effects.

    • Driving under bad conditions (fatigue, bad weather, distractions) could increase the chance of accidents.

  4. Cool Additions for Immersion

    • Insurance System: Players could purchase vehicle insurance to help cover repair costs or legal trouble.

    • Mechanics & Repair Shops: Damaged cars could be towed or repaired at shops, adding realism and another gameplay loop.

    • Driver’s License & Tickets: Zois might need to earn a driver’s license, and reckless driving could lead to tickets, suspensions, or even losing the license.

    • Random Road Events: Traffic jams, accidents, police checkpoints, or random breakdowns or others being pulled over on the road could make driving feel alive and unpredictable.

    • Customization & Maintenance: Cars could need regular maintenance (oil, tires, etc.), and players could customize them with upgrades that affect performance.

These changes would make driving in Inzoi not only more realistic but also more engaging and dynamic, tying directly into the game’s larger theme of life simulation with consequences.

Can’t believe this post doesn’t have more likes because I agree with everything you said. Maybe some things mentioned aligns more as a DLC, but everything mentioned would definitely add more dynamic engagement for gameplay and storytelling.

This has my support

Personally I can see it being a free DLC or pack or a setting, but honestly it would be better just base game.

I also want to add that Daysgone, GTA5, Beamng drove (however that game is only focused on driving so not the best) are good examples of games with great driving physics

Awesome idea for immersion and realism!

This was well said and put together we need this!

Tried to make a suggestion about this but I want to put some of my ideas under this post as well, cars in Inzoi would feel much more realistic if they behaved like real instead of despawning and snapping unrealistically when steering. Improvements could include smoother wheel and steering physics, cars staying parked in driveways/garages (or wherever your left them), in-car music radio, and some other cool features for high-end vehicles like window/door control, locks, phone accessible radio and phone integration to access these features. And, like you said, crash physics, more realistic reactions to the environment, curbs, and sidewalks with the cars suspension and such. That part I’m really big on. Also it would be cool if cars had details such as working dashboards, openable doors, hoods and trunks (especially to put groceries in and take home!!!), and cars behavior depending on weather effects (rain, snow, black ice) would make driving feel far more natural and immersive!! Hope this post gets more attention.

Absolutely love these ideas!!

I do want to add another idea to this post - I think not every time I’m in an accident I should get out of the car and argue. What if I wanted to do a hit and run? but also I think NPCs should dress less uniform and be more reactive, and with that we could witness them in their own accidents, maybe a zoi hit us, etc. Honking horns at zois to make them angry, etc

Don’t forget music. I think cars, water vehicles and motorcycles should include stereo system that allows us to play in game music (also we should be allowed to add our custom music to the game)

I think adding a few copyright free to every genre + the ability to do a custom song would be nice, but I’m not sure if you need licenses to do custom music. So it may have to be InZoi-produced or copyright free songs

I’m thinking the way TS4 does it. They have the custom music folder where we can drop our own songs within the radio station folder and they play on that radio station in the game.

I also wish it had DRIVING LESSONS. It would be nice to basically have a place for the player to practice driving, as a terrible in game driver, a place to practice driving in game where there’s no consequences or other traffic would be helpful. Including a space for scooters and motorbikes.

Or a driving tutorial.

Ouu, this would work well, yeah!! Of course geforce users and some o to r cloud gaming serveices can’t access this, though.

I would also like if we do hit npcs they dont magically vanish after the argument

I like all these ideas, not sure how many are likely to be implemented, or even could be given the probable complexity of adding realistic physics! I think it very important to be able to park cars in realistic places though, like parking spaces on lots (residential or community), in garages, etc.

I also think it would be cool if we could have an active mechanic career, perhaps working in the petrol stations when they are implemented, and repairing/washing cars, even restoring or building them. That way maybe we could have some “custom” car models (like kit cars) that could only be obtained by putting them together with mechanic skill. Probably won’t happen but I like the idea!

Yes!! We wanna see them pacing on the phone with their family or lawyer, or driving off it it was a minor crash’
