Hello everyone,
As the game progresses, it has a solid foundation with great potential. Hopefully, we’ll see it realize that potential. One crucial aspect of life is health
, as without it, there’s nothing—no jobs, no enjoyable games, and so on.
I mean a bit of drama would go a long way, like imagine a scenario where Zoi is fighting another one and they get a headache because of that? Or a woman with their on-and-off struggle throughout the year with their menstrual cycles? Hehe these are just some examples.
Here are some suggestions to enhance our overall experience:
- Active Healthcare System: Instead of a basic first aid kit, it would be fantastic to have a visitable hospital or doctor’s office. Zois could receive proper diagnoses, and their ailments could be more diverse than just a “runny nose.” This would enable more complex and engaging gameplay, such as managing hospital bills or dealing with a prolonged illness.
- Mental Health Mechanics: The game already includes a “loneliness” mechanic that can lead to death. This could be expanded with a more comprehensive mental health system. Zois could seek therapy or engage in specific activities to manage stress, anxiety, or depression. Different life events, like a family death or job loss, could have more realistic and lasting effects on a Zoi’s mental state.
- Lifestyle & Consequences: The current system has Zois getting sick if they’re not dressed appropriately or don’t get enough sleep. This is a great start. This could be expanded to include chronic conditions like high blood pressure from poor diet or a Zoi’s fitness level directly impacting their susceptibility to certain illnesses. These factors could also influence their job performance or social life, making health an integral part of their simulated life.
- Unique Medical Events: Beyond common colds, what about more complex and random medical events? A Zoi could suffer a sports injury, break a bone, or even face a medical emergency that requires a visit to the emergency room. These events would add an element of unpredictability and challenge to the game.
What are your thoughts? Do you have any ideas on how to make the health system more realistic and immersive? Let’s discuss and share our suggestions with the developers!
