Persistent Audio Loop After Exiting Microphone - [Singing] Interaction

  • Game Version: 20250910.7320.W

    • Platform: Steam Windows

    • Mods: Never Used

    • Hardware Specifications & Operating System AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5955WX 16-Cores (Zen3) RTX 3060 Nvidia L40G-12 / L40S-12 / L40-12

    • Steps to Reproduce:

    • Direct a ZOI (character) to interact with a placed Microphone Stand object.

    • Select the “Sing a Song” interaction.

    • Allow the ZOI to perform their entire singing action/routine at the mic.

    • Once the action timer is completed, or you click cancel action, observe the audio still persisting

    • Expected Result: The ZOI character should exit the microphone object, and the associated audio track (the singing) should immediately cease playing.

Actual Result (Bug): The ZOI character successfully exits the microphone interaction and becomes controllable, but the audio track of their singing continues to play indefinitely. The audio loops persistently, even when:

    • The character moves to a new location.

    • The character starts a new action (e.g., eating, talking, sleeping).

    • The camera moves far away from the location of the microphone.

  • 20251003-144211.usvx (2.6 MB)

  • Details: The issue was observed on [10/04/2025. The bug appears to be a persistent audio stream not being properly terminated by the Exit Mic action script. The critical observation is that this occurs within the GeForce NOW cloud streaming environment. No error message or pop-up was displayed during or after the event. The audio loop continues across multiple game actions until a full game reload.

This also happened to me recently after my Zoi did the “Dance in Water” interaction in the ocean of Cahaya.

The interaction’s full cheering audio looped continuously until I saved and reloaded my save. I kept playing for a long while to test if it would stop.

More information on my side:

  • Repeating the same interaction that caused the issue does not stop the audio from looping. However, it doesn’t cause a second loop to occur over the first one after the interaction is completed.
  • I don’t play on GeForce NOW, I play on my own PC (Win 11)
  • I’ve only experienced this type of bug in Cahaya. It did not occur when dancing in the water in Bliss Bay (haven’t tested Dowon).
  • It’s safe to save while the issue is occurring. It won’t cause the audio to still loop after reloading the save.

Hi @GameTesterCaleb, Thanks so much for the detailed report! The clear steps and system information you provided are a huge help. The persistent audio loop after the microphone interaction will be investigated further.

In the meantime, as you mentioned, saving and reloading your game session could serve as a temporary workaround. You’ll be updated once more information becomes available.

Thanks again for your help!
