TLDR: I think that just having a setting for the game, either in gameplay or a setting for modding to enable mature content would be amazing.
Similar to roblox, I think it would be amazing if there were a place to enable 17+ content or mods by entering your age.
A lot of the deeper or realistic storytelling, as well as fun and chaotic content is limited by the rating. It doesn’t feel like a life sim if we can’t simulate real life — and real life has adult topics and mature themes. A setting would be nice — even if we have to verify our age or input our date of birth to get access. This would unlock so much more realism, expression, and storytelling and remove the limitation on players that want to explore deeper gameplay.
This allows us to enjoy our game the way we want to while keeping the games rating the same like how roblox did. Thank you for reading.

Absolutely agree with this post. It’s always been actually my biggest concern too. At least a teen rating allows much more than inZOI is letting happen, but currently the depth of the game and storytelling is limited. I do understand Korea is less open in this aspect, which is fine, but just one little option would be nice. I don’t really imagine any 5 year olds playing this game, soo.. why is the rating so low?

I’ve been of legal age for quite a while now, and censorship in games like this really bothers me. Even though the game was developed in Korea, they should also consider players from the West. I support this

That’s a reaaaally good idea, and would be a very balanced compromise vs just total censorship or having no censor at all.

Absolutely. It’s not very mindful to other cultures because most content of the content that is restricted here isn’t even taboo in the west — furthermore, when it pertains to places like Russia or Korea with stricter ratings, I still don’t see the purpose in censoring the game as life sims are hardly an interest for anyone under the 18 in the first place, and since life sims.. should depict real life… censoring the game prevents us for having engaging storylines or a gameplay authentic to real life. It gets boring faster because so much is limited

Also want to add that maybe instead of just putting your age, it could display a small agreement similar to when you start the game, stating that by enabling this setting you allow your game to have content, mods, and options rated 17+ in your game, which can be disabled at any time. By clicking ‘yes, I agree’ you verify that you are above 18 years old.. yada yada yada. Here is what Roblox did: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/15869919570708-Restricted-Content-Policy however less formal of an agreement and a bit strict as well. If InZoi does base some of their agreement off of this, I think it would be nice for it to be more loosely based off of it as for a life sim this is still very limiting in some areas. We’ll see!

Hahaha! In Russia the rules are not as strict as you think. We have bikinis, and nudist beaches, and adult shops, and much more.
But I don’t understand why there are no bikinis in Inzoi, and what’s more, the devs made gray areas where underwear should be. Are they really that strict about this in Korea?

Wow, good to know! I had read the inzoi rating in russia was 18+ and that they recently made a law to protect children activity online. However still children probably aren’t even interested in this game and if they are they needa be playing with they toys or sum
Korea is much stricter, especially when compared to Western media and restrictions. I believe and Krafton partners with some family brands or companies which may be a bit more traditional according to somewhere online.

Anything but forcing us to upload a photo of our ID… Everyone should be responsible for what they do on the Internet, and if you are a minor, it is your parents’ responsibility

especially for a singerplayer game, yes, absolutely. games already have an agreement at the beginning so an agreement is enough — nobody can sue or get mad at inzoi because they are the one responsible for their kid. and i’ve said it once, majority of players aren’t even kids so it’s not that much of a concern, but for the few kids and teens on the game then parental supervision should be a given

I really hope they do this for us in the future. I defiantly support this.

I was wondering if devs are limited for the game itself, it might be a workaround to release an DLC with separated rating OR an “official” or “unoffical” mod developed and updated by Krafton that players can download and use absolutely optional and at will.
Would that also affect the game’s rating? If not this could be a way.

I’m not exactly sure — however I think it is worthy of being considered.
Here is a post on reddit as an example:Reddit - The heart of the internet
I’m making a puzzle game that can probably be enjoyed by age 12+, but has dialogue which would get a 17+ rating. I’d like to resolve this dilemma by using age-appropriate story elements in the base game, and then selling an addon (for anyone who actually wants the original story that badly). My intent is not to make the base story of lesser quality, but to make it available to a younger audience.
Basically, what InZoi could very well do. I’m not sure if this is affected by country but this may also work better than my original suggestion, or a mix of both. Since the DLC is sold separately, it would have a seperate rating. Good idea, by the way!!
