Hm some other parts also look as if the shape wasn’t right

Compared to the Hydrangea the Peony are not a good quality
The Hydrangea are flawless

I’d assume this isn’t supposed to look so weirdly spikey. Maybe it’s related to the graphics downgrade issues again? I’ve seen quite a few objects looking less well-crafted lately, even though they used to look good

This was a glitch in the sims when sims grew up wearing certain clothing and/or in cas especially with modded clothing, these flowers are base game and should not have the spikes, looks like they was created correct then some update has change, requiring a new code. Here’s some images from sims clothing and body spikes

I’m getting flashbacks  Those crazy spikes were all over the place sometimes.

In my game Medium Peone looks the same

I also noticed Medium Hydrangea and Medium Casablanca Lily also look low-quality and low-poly. I put another flower between them so that the difference is immediately visible

And textures are not applied correctly

Really? Do you remember which objects?

I’ll try to remember to take some screenshots once I’m back in the game :slightly_smiling_face:

Here are screenshots of the three objects from build mode which I mentioned previously:

→ most items in the bookshelf are rendered poorly, especially the globe (weird yellow curves around it) and the folders (labels seem to be really wonky)

→ the big teddy’s ears aren’t curved but rather edgy, while the small teddy looks perfectly fine

→ the bed looks really edgy and poorly “carved” in general

None of these odd textures / edges are related to graphics settings. I play around with the settings quite a bit, but here’s the current ones. All object-related settings are on ultra:

Additional info:
Most other objects from build mode look fine and are rendered well. I haven’t figured out why the flowers mentioned by @LennyOgg and the three other objects look totally off. Can’t be a settings or specs issue.

oh my goodness!

I’ll better change the thread title -.-

Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt the flower bug xD Thanks for changing the title. Maybe we’ll come across some other objects which appear off. Since I’m not using build mode very frequently, chances are higher on your side, I guess.

Ah you didn’t! Don’t worry.
It’s better to keep it all in one place.

I was just a bit shocked, that’s really bad ö.ö

I noticed that too. Many objects (garage doors, wastebaskets, bed covers, etc.) look significantly more worn and “dirty” when you change the color, even though they are new items. I haven’t changed any of my graphics settings.

I did some testing minutes ago. Changed my settings to even higher in general and stuff. Those objects remain messy, no visible changes.

Not quite sure about this one since it’s been a while we’ve been in Dowon, but as far as I remember this sticker wasn’t looking so ‘worn’/scratched.
First I thought it was because of the worn look furniture get after a while, but this sticker comes like that right out of the build catalogue.

The other stickers of that series still have their plain colors.
That’s so weird, why would they put an effort in making it look worse?

While I was at it I checked the objects @HeinziDerHeld and @treeofowl posted above.

While the bear and the other flowers look really bad in my game too and nothing like the preview pic, the bed and the bookshelf are still ok(?) weird ö.Ö’

The Dowon save is my oldest save. It exists since the beginning of early access.
The pics I posted above are from Bliss bay where we moved to from Cahaya (after moving to Cahaya from Dowon lol) I don’t know if that means it’s a new save then?
And if that has anything to do with these issues either, but I thought I’d mention it in case it’s important ^^’

These weird swirls I’ve noticed before in some of the fishes eyes (post about this is → here),

especially annoying since Greg, the Koi, is part of our family and he looks as if he’s dead with those weird eyes :sob:

Wow, that bookshelf and bed look really nice. It’s strange though, because I even verified my files about a week ago (weird textures happened pre and post doing that) to test something. I’ll try to change even more settings, maybe try a new save, etc. - then I’ll report back :slightly_smiling_face:

It was Nanite turned off in my case with the bookshelf and the bed. For whatever reason, they’re only rendered 100% correctly with it. I roughly understand how it works, but that’s an issue I didn’t see coming.

Here’s proof of how both objects look with it turned on:
