This cheat is amazing.
I’m trying out a storyline for a book that I’m writing. It’s helping to play some of the plot out in inZOI. The story is set in the UK after World War 3 has broken out, but instead of using bombs and an army to destroy the country, they’ve just had all of their infrastructure turned off. No phones, wifi, electricity, gas, petrol -nothing.
My protagonists are going to find a farm to grow their own food; they’re vegan, so they’ll be fine with tomatoes, pumpkins and potatoes.
I found the cheat code on the inZOI website, and it works so well when you adjust the city to go with it. I changed the plants to grass, got rid of all the zois in the street. There’s even rubbish piled up all over the place. It’s awesome.

That’s an awesome storyline and it looks so cool!
Would you mind sharing how you got rid of the Zois in the streets?
Is it a mod or part of the cheat?

No mods,
The cheat reduced the number of zois around, then I adjusted the city to get rid of the rest. The only zois I see now are the ones working in businesses.

Let us know how it goes, post some photos. Maybe change some npcs into zombies with the customZoi cheat.

Wow, this looks like they fixed the Rundown setting for the city appearance. I’m going to need to check that out because there was a long thread with players requesting the return of the Rundown appearance. Combined with low sanitation, the look might be like it used to be!
I love your plot for this gameplay! Are you going to document it with screenshots to make a blog story, or record gameplay to share the story with viewers on YouTube?

Sure, I’ll add photos.
At the moment, I’m still fighting with stopping zois from fazing through walls as they go to random businesses. Once that’s calmed down, I’ll be able to play properly.
So far, they have the house (an abandoned farmhouse in my story), they’ve planted some crops, and they have almost no money left.
I’ve also changed the animals in the city to foxes, cats and deer, but I’m not seeing any difference with that yet.

@LittleBrownBiscuit I’d like to see more photos too, thanks!
It doesn’t seem like the Rundown has gone back to what it was once, especially noticing all the flowering plants. But I could be wrong, and I’d still be interested in seeing some of your gameplay

The trees are very pink. At the moment, it’s summer in the game, so cherry blossoms are ok, I know they’re more of a spring thing, but I’m going to alter that as the season changes.
I’ve tried playing a little, but the business travel bug is really frustrating. Also, I want to change the npcs to have dirty-looking clothing to fit the narrative.
Right now, Raphael and Bastet have only 132 mew left. They’re both painting to try to raise money. I’m considering setting up a vendor stall, but with so few zois around, there may not be much point.

I’ve updated my game for beta testing and it’s made the apocalypse cheat even better.
Quick Update:
Bastet and Raphael have managed to get some crops going.
The remaining zois in the city are still using money as trade isn’t always possible. Because of this, having only 42 mew left, Raphael started going through bins and stealing from parking meters.
He also searched the streets for abandoned/lost bags. In total me made 444 mew.
He used the money to buy a taco from the taco stand.
He then went for a walk around the city, but it was completely rundown - nothing to see.

Thank you for the pictures!! They are gorgeous in the post-apocalyptic sense.
There is grass in some spots and the trees growing, but of course there is some life still after the apocalypse. Now you can bring it back to life slowly-but-surely.
Do you plan to gradually change the visual setting as you play to simulate the city services becoming available and then improving?
My game play is mimicking a book I’m writing, and in the story, the apocalypse isn’t caused by a typical war. It’s based on a country being cut off from modernity by the aggressors. So, no phones, running water is problematic, not petrol, etc. Because of this, there are still trees and plants, and animals are roaming. But there are very few cars, many people have died, and food has to be grown.
There is a small amount of renewable-powered electricity available, but there is still no internet or phone lines in general.
The way the game looks in the photos looks appropriate for the first book. In the second book (which is only in my head, at this stage), there will be more people.
