[Beta Engine 5.6] Glass railings flickering

  • Details:
    The glass railings are flickering since the beta engine-upgrade. Hadn’t noticed it in any versions before that. In the screenshots below, you can see the glass railings on the balconies on the left side of the pictures. In the second one, with exactly the same angle, they’re tinted blue. Without moving anything, even in pause mode, those flickers happen every other second.


→ This also happens with glass railings inside of the houses, I just noticed.
For file testers / devs: Open my attached save file, send the active Zoi home. There’s a glass railing on the upper floor which shows flickering sometimes too.

May I ask if anything changes if you tinker around with the view distance?

I tested some different view distance settings for the lights, just like you suggested. Originally I had them on high. When I chose ultra, the glass railings kept flickering in the distance. When I tuned it down to middle, it stopped. Thanks for your advice :grinning_face: I assume this is some kind of engine issue which will get fixed with further improvements over the year.
I’ll keep the report “unsolved” for now, so the devs can keep the issue in mind.
