I know the flower shop is coming next week, but I was wondering if I can already sell, for example, household items, potted plants or furniture. I’m not familiar with the business, but if the business options are “bar”, “club”, “bakery”, then I could still offer other things for sale? Could someone who has experienced this tell me?
I don’t think this is possible (at least yet). If you put down e.g. crafted items or grown crops there is no option to sell these while in the shop. Regarding furniture there is also no possibility to put these on sale.

The selling basically works via the market stands:
Thus all items which can be placed inside these market stands are put on sale. And as soon as you hold such an item you can click the stand and “Place Market Display” and with this the item goes on sale.
At the moment these are all dishes, all fruit beverages (but not the cocktails), all baked goods and all coffee. Basically all the recipies you find under “Recipe” when you select “Manage business” via the smartphone.
But you can still have all kinds of businesses like a gym, art studio, music studio, hangout with fun items or games etc. and make money via the entry or hourly fee.
Apart from that I found it most profitable to hold lectures. You need to have at least one skill on Level 5 to do that but this gives the most profit in short time if there are enough Zois around who are selectable for the lecture.
