Currently, an idol’s career ends at the senior intern level. I am confident that the developers will develop careers further, but I want to draw attention to this problem.
- The idol profession is the lowest-paying on the market. And here I’m specifically considering the final stage of the profession, which is essentially the pinnacle of development!
- The internship leads nowhere. I thought that perhaps it would be possible to perform special actions through the computer (hold a concert or record an album) or that a career advancement opportunity would open up (a new vacancy would appear - “artist” or “band member”). But nothing happened. I feel like the entire path was taken in vain.
- There is no opportunity to earn extra money by performing on the street. (I can perform, but passersby don’t care, and no one gives tips for performances. Although I would like to have the opportunity to use my skills for side work)
- Tasks are the same every day, which makes the game boring and monotonous.
Based on the highlighted problems, I propose some improvements for this career direction:
- Add opportunities for becoming an idol with salary increases. (possibly with the appearance of a popularity system this will happen) Perhaps make some branching of career development paths (solo artist and band member).
- Add new interactions when advancing in career. (this could be the opportunity to participate in auditions at an earlier stage, the opportunity to participate in concerts as backup dancers, filming in music videos as extras) It would be especially nice if these additional activities would bring in money.
- Add the ability to “sing for money” so that passing-by Sims pay attention to the performance and can give tips. It would be especially cool if a bad performance could result in you being booed or pelted with tomatoes

- Make daily tasks more varied. Perhaps some of them are randomly selected each morning or depend on how well you perform at work. (from what currently exists, I could suggest adding “ask for advice from a senior intern,” “practice giving interviews,” “practice posing for the camera,” and for senior interns conversely you could give the task “help a junior intern with dancing”) Or add random events (“Evaluation Day,” “Audition,” “Festival Preparation”). Then all quests would be dedicated to this event.
This profession was the most appealing to me, so it’s especially sad to see that it leads nowhere. I would be glad to see the opinions of other participants!
