Good that you’re reporting this. It needs to be brought up. There have been posts on this topic before but they weren’t updated and disappeared. For now I’m in summer gameplay but I’ll check later how it looks on my end, though I’m afraid nothing has changed in that regard.
It’s weird, but my Zois put on winter clothes as soon as they get out of bed. Is it cold in their house? I couldn’t find any radiators to fix that.
Also, many people in Dowon walk around in summer clothes in the winter and shiver.
This has happened to me too. Most of the time I play in Dowon, and as soon as it gets cold, boom, there’s the winter clothing, and the only things I saw to buy were the ceiling air conditioner and ceiling fan, if I remember correctly, but nothing like a thermostat to control the climate inside the house, or some kind of heater. And I don’t know why on the street, the sims walk around in everyday or summer clothes. Shouldn’t they automatically have winter clothes too?
Yeah, that’s just how it works at the moment. Zois automatically put on their summer outfit in summer and their winter outfit in winter. What we really need is a separate category for ‘outdoor’ clothing which only applies outside. It already works that way with shoes so it should be doable.
Yeah, it’s pretty annoying that the Sims walk around the house in thick jackets and hats after waking up or showering! This constant manual changing into everyday clothes is a pain. It would be nice if they realized they’re indoors and just put on their regular clothes. Or if there was some kind of temperature regulator you could install in the house so they wouldn’t put on heavy winter clothing anymore. In any case, this should be changed.
I think it is true that as it stands, temperatures inside and outside are the same, separate interior temps have not yet been implemented.
However I agree with the suggestion that there should be a separate outdoor clothing category, so my zoi’s only wear coats and hats outside. Anything else is a bit jarring and looks strange.
Maybe someone will think I’m sentimental, but I really feel bad for NPCs shivering in the cold during winter Please add seasonal clothing changes for NPCs!
I agree to all of you as well. And thanks for reporting this @Samuriko
Even if it is intended it should be changed so that the game recognizes if the Zoi is inside or outside. It looks very unnatural when Zois hang around in their winter clothing at home.
Yes, it’s the same for me. I would like them to stay in their outfit, but remove the coat/scarf (outer wear) when they come in. I have put in a fireplace, but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference (no indication from Zois that it is too warm and they want to change to everyday clothing- I say this because when it was Summer in Dowon, they wanted to change into breezy clothing)
I have winter in Dowon and it looks like this: Zoi is in winter clothes and has the desire to put on winter clothes But she walks around the house barefoot .
Hello everyone (@here),
Thank you for the report. We’ve reviewed the issues and would like to provide the following information:
Zois wearing winter outfits indoors is intended behavior, as there is currently no separate indoor outfit category. If you have suggestions for improvement, we would appreciate it if you could share them on our Wishlist category.
The issue where a desire to change into winter clothing appears even when the Zoi is already wearing a winter outfit is planned to be fixed in a future update. As a temporary workaround, you can change into a different outfit first, then switch back to the winter outfit to fulfill the need.
