Neonato disappears when not selected after downloading v0.7.3

As the title says, I’m attaching a video and a save file.

This wasn’t happening until last night, I was playing with the same family. Today I downloaded the new patch and this occurred.

I don’t have mods, I’ve also deleted them from the folder.

I’m updating this post because something strange is happening.

When I enter this household, where the newborn is not visible, the babysitter comes in and this message appears:

It says "Safe return home - The babysitter has safely brought Zénobé Amboire home.

But the newborn continues to remain invisible if I select other Sims.

Also, the babysitter keeps coming back after I kick her out :grinning_face: even though the parents are present.

I just tested your save file with my setup and can confirm everything you reported. I tried to fix the invisible bug by moving the newborn’s cradle to a different spot, but the bug remained.

What’s also very suspicious is that the body / clothing animation for the newborn is clearly bugged completely. It shows one of the premade inZOI team outfits but when looking at the newborn in CAZ, you’ve already changed it to a more colorful version. Changing outfit or colors has no effect whatsoever. The little one always stays in this outfit shown below:

Unfortunately, the outfit bug doesn’t only affect him, and I’ve already reported it in another thread. The first babies born in this save don’t have it, but from a certain point onward they all do :head_shaking_vertically: . In CAS they appear with the modifications I made, but not in the game. Not even if I don’t change colors and only use the default outfits.

However, this is the only invisible one, so they’re probably not related.

I’ve also tried moving the crib, going into CAS, and even the emergency save (but it doesn’t work in this case).

It’s an ugly bug to see, especially because the parents and the babysitter completely ignore it—there’s no spontaneous interaction at all. So yesterday his hunger and hygiene indicators were in the red and he was irritable. I had to intervene with allNeedsFull.

Obviously, I can’t grow him with the “Raise a Newborn” option, because clicking on the crib doesn’t show any interaction.

Completely off topic, but I noticed in my game (ageing set to OFF for everyone) that “Raise a Newborn” action is to “pick up a baby and hold it higher than your Zoi’s head level” — and talk with the baby as if playing with it.
Raise is not meant as in “grow or age up the baby” (though in one post such a thing has been reported). I think the translation for this action should have been better.

I wish and pray for a bright future for your disappearing baby!

In my case, as in that of the post author, by performing that action the child went from a newborn to a toddler, but I had aging enabled.

The infant situation is getting worse.

Last night some of them had their age transition to toddler. For two it went smoothly.

I enter the family where there’s the infant Tika.

Her age is 0 days at the transition. At the top of the queue is the action “Grow on her own”.

I wait and nothing happens. Several actions accumulate in the queue, turn, sleep, but the infant does nothing because she’s stuck on Grow on her own, for hours of gameplay.

I try to enter CAS with her and at that point Tika not only disappears, but her age becomes that she’s missing 2 days until growth: the grow on her own action however remains.

I try to build a wall near the crib, to see if maybe the action was putting the infant outside the house. Instead the parents end up outside and the babysitter who wasn’t there before.

I’m attaching the save and screenshots. I think I’ll have to put this save aside which, with 14 families, had cost me quite a bit of work :enraged_face:
