[ 0.7.4 ] Too many notifications with the memory system.

It’s almost as worse and the pocket market spam for painting. In fact nevermind, it IS worse.
It just never ends, there is always something, no matter how insignificant… And that’s with 2 (now 3 since my zoi had a baby)… How much worse will it actually become when I reach 8 zoi in the family… uuuuurgh !

You keep having to go into two different spots. The messages :

And the Memories :

I keep having to open these up and scroll to find what is new and then close it again.
I think the memory system is great and cute, but it should stay hidden until you want to actually look at it.
I am fine keeping those little pop-up notifications that happen during play, those I do not mind.

Just create a menu option to hide these 3 icons at the bottom of the family bar, and let us access them via the Zoi card or something. Don’t inflate the notification numbers with them either, instead of a blue dot on the main family bar, add the blue circle with number of memories/messages over the memory section of zoi card (see below) :

The Menu option I ask for should remove these icon from the family bar :

Thank you !

It’s nice to see I am not alone thinking that.

I agree. Every interaction seems to trigger a memory and every memory triggers a notification; it’s repetitive and annoying. Notifications should be triggered only for major events and there should be an option to turn them off entirely.

I agree. Nobody probably reads this anyway. It’s enough that memories get saved, you can review them later, but this home information system is unnecessary. I’m throwing it straight to trash without reading. Sometimes I have dozens of notifications informing me about what results from gameplay and what I already know or I get the same notification for each family member separately multiple times. Especially this really cool birthday cake — every time Zoi eats it, I get a notification about it :woman_facepalming: .

So true. These endless notifications are rather annoying than useful. I skip 99% of them.

It’s enough for me to see important milestone messages, let them stay. Others should be optional, imo.

I agree, it’s annoying. And it’s not possible to turn it off. I believe that this system needs to be improved. I’m not interested in constantly reading notifications that my Zoi reacted well or badly to a conversation, joke, etc. IT’S NOT NECESSARY! But for the memory system of significant episodes of life: graduation, wedding, prison - it works well, you don’t have to touch it.

Yes - I appreciate the fact that Zois now remember their recent conversations and act based on those, but do we really need a dozen ‘had a normal conversation’ notifications in a row? Only major things should trigger a notification, like ‘first kiss with X’ or ‘had a fight with Y’.
