Filter by new items & favorites

One thing I’ve noticed is that whenever we have new items we’ll see an “N” on the items, this happens on build mode and CAZ.

I believe a new filter to find these items easily would be a great addition. How I see it working:

  • You filter by new.
  • The list gets updated to show only the new items.
  • A list of the items is saved on the background so that when you click on them to see them, they won’t disappear from the list until you remove the filter. This would avoid say on CAZ clicking on new clothing and after viewing it one time it’d be gone, with this background generated list you’d still see the same items listed until you remove the filter, this way we can inspect the new stuff with more detail.

Favorites:

We all have favorite items, whether on CAZ or Build Mode. It’d be nice to be able to “mark” items as favorites and any favorite item would be shown at the top category as “favorite” items this way we’d be able to find them easily without scrolling or searching.

Filter by new is most needed, I lose a lot of time searching for the one, lol.

Yes, absolutely! I would especially like to have a feature to mark favorite objects, both in Caz and in building mode. Now I spend a lot of time searching, especially when it comes to my own objects like textures and 3D printer objects.

Totally agree. I’d love to see more necessary filters implemented in the future.

I agree, this would be helpful for new objects.

But even more I would wish to have a sorting / filtering function for the textures. Once you have many it becomes really hard to manage. Would be great if you could sort these in some way. Maybe give them tags and sort by these tags like “picture”, “carpet”, “flower texture”, “knitted” etc. Not sure has this been already posted as a wishlist post as well?

Yes! Textures is a good one, I’m always searching for textures :joy: infinite scrolling and hovering to see if it’s exactly the one I want lol
