Please improve Canvas browsing and search options!

I think there are several improvements that Canvas should have as soon as possible.

Please add options to browse for content:

  • without mods

  • with mods

  • by new creators (first uploads within the last 30 days, for example)

I like to find content by new creators, and I especially want to search and browse Canvas without seeing mods by my choice. I don’t play with mods and there’s so much modded content on Canvas that it’s difficult to find content without mods, or to even tell that the content features mods if the person uploading it doesn’t include that in the description.

Meanwhile, other players long to find modded content to add to their CAZ and build mode options.

If we can’t browse for content by new creators, then the most popular creators will always and forever be the most popular creators. :joy: I definitely don’t mean to throw any shade on the most popular creators, they’re obviously awesome, but I hope to discover new creators much easier.

I agree. I was going to say the same thing. I think mods are interesting, but it’s true that I would like to distinguish between creations with mods and without mods. For example, I usually play without mods and I like to customize existing game clothing or, at most, create 3D accessories but nothing more.

I think this is a good idea! I personally always put the tags #nocc #nomods and the reverse when I use mods, but it would be so much more easier to search if some kind of search options allowed to identify them without the need for tags. The new creator is also a nice addition :smiley:

Tags are a good idea and adding it to the description, but we definitely need filters to help find what we’re looking for.

A lot of people uploading things just won’t take time to add tags or put it in the description (maybe they don’t even know it would help others), but Canvas should be able to detect modded content and be able to add a note to the item (something where it shows the details of the upload, like skin tone, etc.), and that would make it possible to filter out the modded content if you don’t want to see it, or search just modded stuff if someone’s looking to add different types of things to their game.

I’m glad you like the idea of browsing content made by new creators. :blush: I always love finding new creators.

Also a new filter for 3D printed objects vs true 3D objects made in Blender or another modeling software. This would make it easier to navigate and download appropriate content we’re seeking.

And a way to make the Canvas window full screen or at least bigger
