Steps to Reproduce: have your active zoi fall in love with any other zoi → unalive the other zoi via cheat → many weeks and months in-game urges with the unalived zoi will still pop up occasionally

The urge related to Zoi Ingrid Escobar shouldn’t be active anymore, because she died (via cheat) on December 21 in 2025. His thoughts / urges regarding the dead zoi stopped in January, but this new one came up recently. It’s probably a continuation of this older thread regarding the known issue: Getting an Urge to tease another zoi… My dead father.
This happened to me quite a few times in my current Dowon game as well.
It’s like the urges do not check if your contact is dead or not.
And you cannot even refuse/cancel the urge so you’re stuck with dead weight until it expires.
I really thought, once all urges relating her were gone, no new ones would come up. Apparently I was wrong. Kinda took me by surprise to see a new one so many months later
My female Sim in her old age has developed desires related to her son, who was taken away by social services back when I wasn’t even playing her yet. She was a young adult then and is now a senior. It would almost be touching, but she practically has no other desires, and these current ones are inherently impossible to fulfill. Other Sims’ desires related to deceased family members do happen occasionally, but not with such intensity.
Yep, have the same problem. In my game, Zois die of natural causes, but regardless of that, any Zoi who had a close relationship with the deceased still wants to do something with the dead Zoi - even if a long time has passed.
For example, I have a Zoi whose mother died when she was just starting school. Now, her youth stage is almost over, but she still wants to decorate the Christmas tree with her long-dead mother.
Also, I still have a mail package addressed to her mother on the property, and I can’t do anything with it.
Oh yes, the package issue is also one I used to have in my game before the v0.7.0 update. When the game did a reset on most lots, the packages were gone finally.
Again I will say this dead Zoi urge is ridiculous all urges that can’t be deleted are ridiculous and we should be able to delete them … like the constant urge ever since businesses were added to run a zoi you have no interest in ever running a business gets stuck on the urge to run a business open a business or other business stuff when you are NOT a business play and have NO intention of ever running a business or talking to a dead Zoi you didn’t even like or want to talk to when they were alive or the welcome wagon creeper being the only person in the world all your life alive or dead you want to joke with cause they were the first zoi you ever spoke to let us delete urges that are useless like asking a newborn how their day was YOU CAN’T so it’s urge clogging and robs us of the opportunity to earn Purr coins
