Zois Dying When Not Actively Played

There is a serious gameplay issue we are experiencing:

We have 5 or 6 children

We marry them and move them into different households

We want to play with all of them, and we do

However, if we do not play a Zoi for 4 Inzoi days, they die

Because of this:

We avoid having more than 2 children

We are forced to keep everyone in the same household

This is very limiting and honestly a sad experience, especially for players who enjoy generational gameplay.

Our request:

Zois that are not actively played should not die so quickly

Background life simulation should be more balanced and forgiving

Hello @HamzaTR,
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

It would be very helpful if you could provide your save files so that we can check on this issue. Instructions can be found here: How to Send User Files to The inZOI Team (Updated)

Thank you for the report!

Hello,

I honestly lost count of how many bugs I’ve encountered so far, and I’m really starting to feel frustrated. I truly enjoy the game, but these repeated issues are making it very difficult to continue playing.

My Zois were getting ready to go on a family vacation when the game bugged again. Ertuğrul Zoi got into his car, and suddenly both he and the vehicle fell under the map. The car is now driving underneath the ground. I tried removing him from the car, hoping he would respawn back on the surface, but that did not fix the issue.

This is my second Zoi, and I genuinely do not want to lose him because of another bug. These kinds of game-breaking glitches seriously affect the gameplay experience and player motivation.

I respectfully ask that you please investigate and fix these recurring bugs as soon as possible. I really want to continue enjoying the game without worrying that my characters will disappear or die due to technical issues.

Thank you for your attention and consideration.

This just happened to me as well. I decided to add another family, got them married, and was getting ready to do interviews for each of my new zoi’s, when I got a notification that the Dad in my other family died. He died because the Zoi’s do not take care of their basic needs when you’re not controlling them. I thought there was a toggle for autonomy for Zoi’s you don’t control? I turned on autonomy for the city but it’s not working. I made friends with my legacy family just to keep track, and when my new Zoi family invited them over, their needs were in the red, for both hunger and sleep. I sent them home thinking once they got back, the game would put them into a stasis, until I went back to playing with that family. It did not. Luckily I have a previous save, so I can go back and save that family before they all perish, but this is not a fun experience. The player should have the option to play more than one family during a save, and those families be protected from dying because they will not autonomously fulfill their basic needs. The NPC Zoi’s are fine, so how come that same option isn’t available for Zoi’s you add to the game but don’t control? Please fix this, because this definitely hinders the player’s experience. Especially for those of us who play rotational and generational gameplay. This means when your children grow up, they can’t leave and have families of their own, because they will die. I’m pretty sure that’s not what the developers intended. Thank you.
