I realized, in my case, as long as I don’t rotate the camera I can continue to click on the furniture and different objects in build mode. But if I rotate it just a bit, it stops responding.
same - if I don’t rotate it is ok
here issue its the building tools make whole building system feel like giant bug
its difficult to do the following
- basements - use to be able to build platform and then push it into the ground by lowering it down cant seem do that any more.
- angles roof angles lining up with walls impossible
- trying to install second level floors when you are on the second floor level and you pick floor it just trys install it on the 1st level
- roofs same thing you click it takes you to second level but sometimes it just wants to install the roof on the 1st floor as if you where using the floor tool
- Expremental AI system works 0 percent of the time it just instant crash for most apart
- the show walls show all button does not seem to work when you are trying to work when you are trying to build under the roof and you are up level example you build roof then you try to make roof invisible so you can install floor under floor and ceiling are same thing to make attic space, it seem this just cant be done cant put floor in.
- be able to install floors at angles with hand drawing tool like we do walls.
- need be able to build platforms with hand drawn tool like we do walls.
- gables that we can build they need to be able to be installed on angles also
when trying to do these things it just feels like constant battle against tools and honestly its more frustrating then fun.
enough so that I am going put this game back on shelf till its more complete hopefully the building tool set gets more flushed out and become bit better be nice to see curve walls in the game and better terrain editing like system that in paralives that has great building tool set which is so easy to use even sims does not come off this frustrating.
anyways ill try this again in few months or year or so

I have the same problem.
I’ve tried every possible solution. I know for sure the problem started after launching the Smart Zoe feature. Reinstalling the game, resetting the cache, deleting mods, and starting a new game don’t help! In a new game, I can rebuild the house, but after entering build mode 3-4 times, the error returns…
