I’m afraid you can’t just copy directly from other games. Especially not release all these activities right in version 1.0 - EA would simply sue, and they’d likely win. And that’s not good for anyone, neither players nor developers.
Something tells me that in the final version we’ll get not 1, but 2 new cities right away I don’t know why, but I can’t stop thinking about it lately. Most likely, work on them is already underway, but to not spoil the surprise, they’re keeping quiet about it for now.
In the meantime, let them fix the bugs, deepen the skills of existing professions, add new locations to already existing maps (some establishments still aren’t open anyway). And give us the ability to create our own large cities for local play, not small multiplayer ones. Then I’d be happy
I like the idea of sculpting, but I think it could perhaps be included under the Art skill (which isn’t useful for much except painting at the moment).
It sounds good. If the developers are reading this and thinking about this idea, then I ask them not to rush to implement this idea. I think now is not the time to introduce new content, as there is still a lot of old content working on simplification (as a stub) or with errors. I believe that by developing and improving what we already have, we can get a lot of content.
I like the suggestions you made @Mazikeen, everything except for the time machine, but maybe that’s just me xD The selection you’ve gathered is going really well together, so thank you for leaving this here =)
@Carnel - I think so too. Especially with the European style furniture, windows and statues which came with the latest update, I assume they’re at least considering adding a new map inspiried by this style.
Honestly, I’m pretty much up for any kind of new world (also Canvastowns which will come later this year) because my growing legacy families are always nearly running out of living space. I’ve found my way to deal with the limited lots though, so I don’t want the devs to rush anything. They’re doing an amazing job and I’m looking forward to their own ideas and anything related to player suggestions which will get implemented with future updates
Yes, that’s Twinbrook from Sims 3. What would be great for us is that it has a ring road. It would be fun to drive around it as much as we want, around the lake, especially since InZOI has freely controllable cars. So a town with similar layout would definitely be useful to us!
@Mazikeen some of my favorite skills / ambitions from Sims 3 times Would be great to see these implemented in a new and modern way. Not exactly copy & paste as this would likely cause issues like @Carnel said.
But there would be so much potential adding more self-employment careers. Apart from scuplting, inventing or nectar making also things like e.g. the detective career or other careers which can be done self-employed.
At the moment it is a little disappointing that there is so less variance in the offered jobs and self-employment options. All new jobs which came with v.0.8.0 feel basically the same from a gameplay perspective. It does not make much of a difference which career you follow, it is just different options on the PC or other equipment while working. But there should be more projects you can follow or special interactions you can do if you are in the career and every career should feel unique.
Same for the self-employment options: also not much of a variance here. It is good that we have these options added now but it would be great to have some more interactive self-employment careers like a detective career like in Sims 3 or as we already have a court, why not a lawyer career where you need to meet up with your clients, prepare the case, run the trail etc. And there could be many more.
