If you’ve seen the movie The Sixth Sense, you know how ghosts appear looking exactly the way they died, right? Well, that just happened to my ZOI. Can you guys see this?
One evening, my ZOI was enjoying a swim and unfortunately died from a shark attack. I was too sad to just let my ZOI go, so I decided to play as a ghost for 3 days. But when I clicked the “Play as Ghost” button, my ZOI spawned as a ghost dragging a shark ghost along with them! I just decided to headcanon it that the shark choked on my ZOI’s bones while eating them or something.
You know how The Sims 3 had something similar? Like, ghosts who drowned would drip water when they moved, electrocuted ghosts would shoot sparks, and ghosts who died in a fire would easily start fires around them. So I thought it was a really fun detail, but then it crossed my mind that maybe this wasn’t intended by the devs and is actually just a bug.
So I want to ask you guys: Is this an intended feature? Or is it a bug?
Just as a side note, if you go to the ocean in this state, you can witness the majestic sight of my ghost ZOI riding the shark around. I think it’s seriously so cool!
Well, I am not 100% sure but like… that’s a bug xD A funny one though. I’d scream
It looks like you’re not alone: Death by shark - #3 by neverseemstoend
A bug, of course. But it’s really quite amusing!

Probably a bug but at least a cool one
Am I the only one who doesn’t think it’s a bug?
I disabled the ghost feature in my game after having such an annoyance with ghosts haunting public places and ruining my owned business, BUT I’ve seen dozens of different people on Discord asking for ghosts to show how the zoi died. Just like the Sims games. Did 4 not do that? I boycotted that entire company (EA) shortly after 4 came out, so I have no idea.
I guess people who loved ghost stuff in the Sims games want it in inZOI, even though I truly prefer a more mature and mostly-reality-based game.
Okay, riding on the shark in the water has got to be proof that it’s not a bug, right?

You’re a Great Fisherman!
In The Sims, supernatural creatures were toggleable. And that’s the right approach. I remember in The Sims 3, I once started playing at university, and at some point it became unbearably annoying to watch half the students around me sparkle with fairy wings or run around as werewolves. That’s when I decided I’d had enough and turned all of it off.
So InZOI is already on the right track by giving players the option to turn off ghost gameplay!
If someone likes it, they can turn it on. The important thing is that there’s a choice, and they’re giving us that choice!
It’s become your pet take good care of it don’t let it go hungry.
