I know the project is advancing by leaps and bounds and that new things are being implemented little by little: I found a post about challenges in careers but I’m not sure if it’s the same topic.
What I’m proposing is a dynamic where you can use the city and other zois. For example, at the travel agency it’s great to be able to opt for remote work, but ultimately sitting at the computer becomes repetitive when we could go and negotiate the price with the resort or with the transportation company (once it’s implemented). We could attract people for trips or receive them at the office where we could earn an extra commission for each package sold. It’s simply to make tasks not feel repetitive every 24 hours. Even in a distant future, these job features could be connected so that those who work in audiovisuals could create an advertisement for the travel agency with a celebrity zoi.
What I’m missing a bit in the game so far is social interaction in the world and in the city, especially in Cahaya it’s very limited. I think the travel agency profession is something that can be exploited more depending on what rank you’re at.
At low rank you’re administrative staff and you handle paperwork, and as you rank up you unlock new activities like negotiating directly at the resort, creating packages to sell to other zois, hiring or being hired to take photos and advertising (this would generate a lot of dynamics) and it’s something that can be extrapolated to other future professions. This way we could give the city more dynamic life.
If we have a family member who works at the agency, we could ask them for a discount. We could even create some NPCs dedicated to those niche professions, but see the activities—for example lawyers with their elegant clothes and briefcase walking down the street, tour guides with groups of people showing Cahaya, or entering and leaving the resort, activists on the beach interacting with wildlife and raising awareness among the population…
The idea would be to develop the professions so they can be connected to each other in the future and give that work-related social life to the city.
I would love that as an audiovisual producer or photographer, the flower shop would hire me and put up a sign with a photo I took of their bouquets for a certain number of days, see that things that are actually made really get used.
Another thing too is that the freelance system works for selling in your own business, like having an art gallery, being able to hang paintings and set prices for sale. That would be amazing.
