Job Simulation Could Enrich inZOI’s Careers

How Taxi Life–Style Job Simulation Could Enrich inZOI’s Careers

Having careers inspired by job simulators (taxi, truck driving, police, restaurant work, construction, etc.) would make working in inZOI feel like real gameplay, with tasks, decisions, and unexpected events, instead of just clicking a button and waiting for the Zoi to come back. Situations would always change: different clients, complicated traffic, mistakes, successes, bonuses, delays, firings, accidents, and unexpected opportunities. This would create depth and unpredictability in work stories, so that work in inZOI is not repetitive or boring, but one of the most fun parts of the game, with real consequences for money, emotions, relationships, and each Zoi’s fate.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a good example of this idea in action.

Example with Taxi Life

In Taxi Life, the player drives with real rules: speed limits, fines, traffic lights, turn signals, AI traffic behavior, and the need to maneuver well and park correctly. Passengers talk to you, make requests, complain if you drive too fast, and comment on the city and the traffic, creating small stories in every ride. The city of Barcelona, with its landmarks, narrow streets, and navigation challenges, makes the job feel connected to real urban life and not just an empty track.

This kind of design could enrich inZOI’s careers a lot. Jobs like taxi driver, rideshare driver, delivery worker, bus driver, ambulance driver, or police officer could have active, moment-to-moment gameplay: driving through town, following rules, avoiding accidents, dealing with unpredictable traffic, and reacting to dynamic events. Customers and passengers could have contextual dialogue linked to the Fate Engine: personal stories, humor, stress, special requests, or emergencies, all influenced by their situation and by the emotions of each Zoi.

How this could work in inZOI

The idea is to take the quality of dedicated job simulation games (like Taxi Life, truck simulators, bus and emergency services) and apply that logic to inZOI’s careers. Instead of work being just a progress bar or a loading screen, each profession would have its own system, with rules, challenges, decisions, and clear risk/reward.

Jobs like taxi driver, rideshare driver, delivery worker, bus driver, ambulance driver, or police officer could work as small simulators inside inZOI: driving around town, following rules, avoiding accidents, dealing with unpredictable traffic, and dynamic events. Passengers and clients could have contextual dialogue tied to the Fate Engine: personal stories, stress, humor, special requests, all connected to the emotions and situations of each Zoi. Work performance (arriving on time, not crashing, respecting the client, choosing routes) would affect reputation, tips, promotions, demotions, and unlock new story events for the Zoi.

The same idea could apply to other job types too, not just driving: construction, restaurant work, emergency services, law enforcement, and more could each have their own “mini-simulator” systems, with tasks, risks, choices, and random events.

Result for the player

Working would no longer be boring and repetitive, but one of the most fun parts of the game, with active, unpredictable gameplay full of small everyday narratives. Each career would feel like a “mini-simulation game” inside the larger life simulator, greatly increasing the depth, variety, and sense of a living world in inZOI.
