It would be great to be able to open or close windows for more realism, for example at night if we want to sleep with the window open and enjoy the cool air.

Yes! Also, I liked that in one of the sims 4 expansion packs your teens could sneak out by climbing out an open window. It would be so good if any open window close enough to the ground could be used in this way.
