Home Storage Solutions Suggestion

First of all, Great Job in Including a Bag of Goodies to carry around with you for the game so early in development. HOWEVER I see multiple areas for improvement including,

“Autonomy Storage of Books/Food” - This is more an AI Problem because they are storing everything in their bag when they go to pick it up automatically but they don’t bother to put it back or purge their lists.

“Lack of General Storage Boxes” - This would be nice to have, something that we could use like a cardboard box on Sims 4, in that it’s a placeable object (probably in build mode), and it can hold other small items freeing room inside the characters “bag”.

“Intrafamily ‘Gifting’” - This would allow small items like toys or books to be exchanged between ZOIs in the same household. The idea being it would take the item out of one family members bag and put it in the others.

“Too High Bag Capacity” - if you were to implement the above, naturally the bag’s 100 item limit would need to come down accordingly, I’ll leave it to your team to balance the exact numbers, but generally this is something that will reveal itself in time, generally you should never be storing 100 items inside your bag at any given time, this is way too much (even if you had lipstick and prefume, keys, etc, this is way too many items, but you don’t currently have anything like that which would go inside a girl’s purse. much less a man’s wallet.)

We’ve already discussed this. Please think about how inconvenient it would be for everyone collecting minerals, branches, and so on to constantly run back and unload everything at home.

When we go to an uninhabited island in Cahaya - you can gather resources, catch fish, and find figurines all in one trip… Believe me, you won’t like having to constantly run home just because your character’s inventory is full.

Yes, it’s realistic, but it’s extremely impractical, and it’s unlikely to add any enjoyment to the game, understand me correctly :folded_hands:

I like the idea of having storage boxes in the home, to place objects from the bag. I don’t think you’d need to lessen the bag’s storage limit. Most people find it incredibly small as it is, especially if you do any collecting, crafting or farming. I know they are planning to add a ‘bags’ category to outfits. I wonder if the storage could change with the type of bag assigned to the everyday outfit - so that if you had a backpack or duffel bag, this would hold more than a handbag, etc.

Yes, I agree! And whenever you take the harvest to sell, you always have to enter a code for the bag because of the heavy weight.
But storage chests are definitely needed, and a freezer.

I only play with this code. Fortunately, it gets saved in the game after the first entry, and I don’t have to enter it every time.

I’m also completely fine with home storage locations, but what’s really great is that the inventory can be unlimited! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
