It would be way more fun to drive if everything was breakable: light poles, traffic lights, fences, billboards, mailboxes, benches, planters and more. Also, the minimap should be dynamic and rotate based on the direction we’re facing.
Cars should take damage when they crash, and if possible, don’t have the ‘an accident has occurred’ pop-up show up.
The game should encourage you to crash, mostly like in GTA.
It’d also be great if there wasn’t so much popping while driving (cars just appear right in your face). Not sure how to fix that, someone suggested fading out the distance, but I don’t know.
Parking the car in the parking spot should happen automatically without having to click on the parking meter. Example: I go to a lot, leave my car somewhere, get out, and it parks itself automatically in the spot without needing to click. If that lot doesn’t have a parking spot, it should park in the closest one
Honestly, as someone who’s kinda impatiently waiting for GTA’s november release, I totally get where you’re coming from xD I have to admit, I don’t see it for inZOI though. Being able to break so many things, maybe even crash into walls, etc. would be too far fetched for a life-sim game in my humble opinion.
I really support your suggestion about parking spots working automatically though. I keep forgetting that they’re usable, so they mostly remain empty which is a shame. It’d be cool if the cars / vehicles parked there on their own
Well, breaking through walls is too much, of course
But knocking down more objects - I’m all for that! Street decorations like carts could tip over, and signs and poles could break and fall. Benches and flower beds - probably not. After all, they could be rigidly fixed to the ground, like trees.
In any case, if there were a bit more destructible objects - it would be even more fun to drive around
@Mazikeen can’t you play a life simulation game where you drive and crash into an object that breaks? Taking inspiration from mechanics is what Inzoi has done with The Sims and GTA throughout its development, I don’t see what the problem is.
We’re all waiting for GTA6 and we cannot compare any game to it, Rockstar is too op with money and game developing experience, altho I’d like to drive in inZOI with my controller, that should be easy enough to implement into the game
I second the need for more realistic driving, though I feel the controls are the main issue at present - so destroying more objects and crashing more is not on my wish-list! I would prefer to be in better control of vehicles, and not have other cars spawn in with such rapidity that a collision is very hard to avoid.
Also I find that steering with M&K is pretty terrible; driving in a straight line seems to be impossible and no matter what the vehicle (including bikes) I end up zig-zagging constantly to stay on the road. Why can cars not be controlled with mouse direction, as zoi’s are? Or even better, with controller as JoyIsFunner suggests; that way we could look around with one stick and steer with the other.
Completely agree with automatic parking where available, though - that just makes sense.
@Federica means they’re taking a lot of mechanics from The Sims. Cars, of course, aren’t part of that—their behavior actually reminds me more of GTA (naturally, with some caveats). In the sense that we can steal them and sell them
Maybe you have too many cars set in your city settings? I, of course, rarely drive a car—I prefer a scooter—but I don’t remember a car appearing so close that it was uncomfortable to get around it.
It could be released as DLC for those who want it. I’m certainly not against it. But it can’t be a normal update. No matter how much fun it is. It doesn’t quite fit the game’s concept.
I agree. That’s why it’s definitely not a “high priority.” Just “would be nice to have someday”
So it’s not about them being destroyed permanently. Just that you’re driving down the street, accidentally crash into a road sign - and it breaks and falls over. Like how boxes work now on the streets of Cahaya. Maybe NPCs get startled and jump out of the way, or even start recording you on their phones. But once you drive away - everything gets restored.
Just, like I said, this would add interactivity to the game and a sense of greater realism in the surrounding world. Not chaos, just light fun in the style of “Oops, that was an accident! Okay, gotta get out of here quick!”
