Steps to Reproduce: select craft or flower arangment and pick something to make

zoi crafts at the computer desk instead of the crafting table. idk she just never used the bench before, always sits at this desk “Cottage Wood Desk” instead of standing at the Crafting Table. If i delete the desk she goes and stands at the crafting bench normally
This is not an error. After the update, they can do this at any table, they don’t necessarily need a workbench.
Apparently, it’s more convenient for the character to go to that table, especially since you can sit at it instead of standing — so that’s why they choose it.
Ah, I see, I didn’t know that, one of mine does that too.
Well that sucks since they don’t seem to care if there is a computer there or not they will smash away at the keyboard with a gem on it. I preferred them using the item they were supposed to use to craft after all what kind of blacksmith sits down to craft a hammer or knife or sword or anything really.
It’s nice that Zois can use any desk now for crafting, but they should use the worktable if that’s selected, and they shouldn’t use desks that have other items like computers. Instead they just seem to use the nearest one regardless, and I’m pretty sure that’s a bug.
This is all the result of trying to implement all our wishes.
People thought it was unrealistic that a workbench had to be placed, which doesn’t fit into a house or shop interior. So we added this functionality to any table for them. And now, you see, we need to address this issue as well. I think one day it will be corrected, but we definitely shouldn’t remove this ability to craft on any table. We just need to fine-tune it additionally.
But funny enough even though i have a computer and plants on the desk and decide to make something they go and make the item inside the computer even though the workbence is upstairs XD
This is definitely not ALL OUR WISHES as you say… IT was never and would never be my wish… people need to stop thinking Zois are human and need some sort of a human real world home… homes should be built for a Zoi life not a human life if you don’t want the craft table in the house build a workshop or put it outside don’t mess with the functionality I absolutely HATE the idea that they can craft anywhere but the place they are meant to

Just so you know, I’m not accusing anyone. My words didn’t imply that specifically YOU wanted this. But such a request did come from the players.
I would solve it this way: if there’s a workbench in the house (including the entire plot) - Zoe goes to it. If there isn’t one - she does what’s possible on a regular table. Or she does the same if explicitly told which table to use it on, even if she’d be chopping salad on a workbench - if explicitly told to do it right there. That way everyone would be happy.
