Some of my previously created households have teenagers incorrectly tagged as “High School Graduate” and are unable to attend the new active High School, but CAN attend the rabbit hole Sunridge High School. While some previously created Zois are enrolled in school normally.
After further testing over multiple days, I have determined that all new Zoi teenagers created from CAZ in this save file are incorrectly tagged as “High School Graduates” or even “University Graduates” and can not attend any High School despite being teenagers. This is the case whether the Zoi is created from a preset or randomized in CAZ.
The second save file (attached below) is the oldest one I have from March 2026. I did open it today for the first time since the June update to test and unfortunately, the issue is still present. I did not save the game in this state to preserve the old save save file.
Unfortunately, it appears I do not have a save file without the issue present.
Hopefully some of this helps. Thanks to you and the team for looking into this. For what its worth, I can create a brand new save file from scratch without the issue and play normally. Though, I do worry about this issue potentially resurfacing in my new save file.
All of the teenagers who were already living in my town were enrolled in the new open high school. However, when the child from my main household aged up to a teenager, the game said that he had already graduated from school instead of enrolling him.
This is really disappointing because this is my main playable family, and now he can’t attend high school.
To test it, I created a new household with teenagers, and they were all automatically enrolled in the new open high school. Then I created another household with teenagers, and they were all automatically assigned to the rabbit hole school instead.
My guess is that the open high school has a student limit, and those two teenagers couldn’t get in because it was already full.
Later, I created another teenage Zoi without any adults, and they were generated with school already completed as well.
At the moment I can’t really see a clear pattern, but I really hope this gets fixed soon because I can’t fully experience the new school gameplay with the character I actually wanted to play.
I don’t mind if there’s a limit on the number of students in the open school—that makes sense. However, I think playable Zois should have priority over NPCs when it comes to school enrollment.
Okay, I started a new game in Dovon.
The toddler aged up to a teen in a single day using a cake but that didn’t help. It’s still impossible to enroll him in school so I mean Zoe effectively isn’t attending any school neither a rabbit-hole one nor the new type.
However, at least this save file has families with teens who study in school unlike the previous save in BlissBay
I had the same issue. child, adolocent and teen zoi could not attend (high) school. But I found a way to fix it in my safe!
The fix does not work on existing children who already have the problem.
I moved my family into the house of a ncp family (moved them in). Then from that ncp family, went to the map - move zois between familys - create a new family- and moved my own zoi into there. Moved them into a new house, created a baby… and FIXED!!!
Hope this helps someone out there! I personally did not want to start a new family , because I am on gen 15 now. And this way I get to play with the highschool update, and stay family.
I have the same issue, my child Zoi aged up via the birthday cake and he can’t roll into the high school, plus it says he graduated from Uni when he’s not even at age for that, i was really looking forward to the high school update, hopefully it resolved soon
I also started a new save in Bliss Bay, raised a child to early teen age with the help of a cake - got a message about enrollment in high school (seemed to work fine). Then I moved that family to Dovon and got high school enrollment again. Created another family so as not to move NPCs into an empty apartment, and the teenager from the new family wasn’t enrolled in the open high school - fell into a rabbit hole. I submitted a request for transfer to high school, but never received a response because there are no available spots . Okay, my Zoi went on the first day to the open school and imagine my disappointment when the game created NPC duplicates just to fill the classes. Turns out there’s no space in a normal school for teenagers from player families, but there is for NPCs - and that’s very sad
This just happened to me as well, my child just grew up to an adolescent and I can’t enroll her to high school as it says she has already graduated? Tried reloading older saves but nothing works…
It makes perfect sense that too many NPC students will cause extra Player teen students - High School and Elementary Students to be logged as already graduated because the student slots are filled.
Resolved for me by deleting NPC teens. I deleted 2 teens in one family then anoher teen from another family. Deleted 3 in total.
My “saved Preset teen” and his parents, I actually deleted them from the City I was playing in Bliss Bay. Went into CAZ and recreated the family from their Presets I had saved previously in CAZ.
When they were placed on their home lot the teen had automatically been enrolled into Bliss Bay Public School.
