  • Details:

Before the June update, it seemed that the extreme graininess and ghosting had been brought to a minimum, but with the new update it’s back again and it seems to be worse than it was before. My theory is that the DLAA setting is not performing as it should, because I don’t notice any performance gain or drop or difference in graphical quality when switching between the various DLSS settings.

Please look into this again, thank you.

Multiple examples in different settings:

Here’s an example of the ghosting that has returned to the game:

DLSS: DLAA (resolution 100%, TSR anti-alias)
Realistic shadows: off
Global Illumination quality: ultra
Global illumination method: Lumen
Lumen Ray Tracing Mode: hardware

Here’s a video of graininess on the Zoi when shadow/sunlight move across the zoi texture:

settings:
DLSS: DLAA (resolution 100%, TSR anti-alias)
Realistic shadows: off
Global Illumination quality: ultra
Global illumination method: Lumen
Lumen Ray Tracing Mode: hardware

Now I set the DLSS to ‘performance’ instead and as you can see the graphical quality with the grainy bits stays identical:

settings:
DLSS: Performance (resolution 100%, TAA anti-alias)
Realistic shadows: off
Global Illumination quality: ultra
Global illumination method: Lumen
Lumen Ray Tracing Mode: hardware

And a very clear picture of the graininess I mentioned (very visible when hovering over a mining spot):

Please look into the DLSS system because I really have a feeling it’s not working properly since this update.

its the same for me to

Same for me; I made a post as well yesterday. DLSS and DLAA give the same performance as no upscaler enabled on a 5090. frames are also around 50 now at 4k compared to the previous build, which gave me 120+ fps.

So that’s why everything felt more “grainy”
Then I have the same issue myself

I have the same problem

I have the same problem, in my case I play with medium-low graphics and before the update the game ran smoothly without that ghosting effect, now I’ve noticed that my performance has dropped considerably, almost unplayable, plus that effect on the movement of the zoi

I have a similar problem.

Bumping because I’ve not seen any words on a solution yet.

Please be careful with thread-bumping, as it’s not allowed in this forum :slightly_smiling_face: Just keep it in mind for future posts.

Oh I apologize, any tip on how to resurface a bug report that has been overlooked/not solved after a bunch of months? Report it again? Because that would clog up the forum…

You can always post a reply saying something like “as of today [date], this bug still persists with game version XYZ” :slightly_smiling_face: At least that’s what I’d recommend.
