Let's improve the overall Zoi dressing system.

In addition to this topic Disable Automatic Outfit Change After Sleep I suggest doing the following thing (I’m writing here because my idea is deeper and more ambitious) .

I would like the Zois, when using a ball (automatic outfit change is enabled) or other sports equipment, not to change into sports clothes all the time, and then after completing these actions back into their daily clothes, etc. Let Zoi change into sports clothes when he really does sports (in the gym with exercise equipment, running, etc.)

If we disable the automatic outfit change feature, then we will not be able to change clothes anywhere except using the wardrobe in our house. Therefore, it turns out that Zois can swim in any clothes, which is realistic. But I would like to suggest adding a travel wardrobe bag for this function as a separate game object, which we could carry on our backs like a backpack. So that the Zoi can change clothes with her anywhere.

I would also like to have a more realistic animation of Zoi changing clothes so that they can take off their clothes like in reality. I don’t think it’s necessary to do the animation reliably (removing outerwear, underwear, shoes, etc.), let it be an approximate imitation so that it can be seen that Zoi is changing clothes.

And now an abrupt change of clothes with the effects of a starburst looks cheap and cartoonish.

Sometimes you confuse real life with the game. The game has far more significant shortcomings. Of course this can be done in the future. But it cannot be a priority. Developers have much more important problems to solve.

Not really, I’m just showing the holes and flaws in the mechanics of the game and offering solutions to them. Of course, this is not critical, and I’m not saying that it should be developed in the near future - it will be up to the developers to decide.

I know but shouldn’t we focus on the shortcomings that aren’t present in the game? :slightly_smiling_face:

I also don’t think this is a very high priority issue. And here’s why.

It’s unlikely that we have a real need to frequently watch Sims doing sports in everyday clothes. Or going swimming fully clothed instead of in a swimsuit. However, if we still wanted it to be that way (and this is probably closer to the “creating stories” approach) - we can always just duplicate regular clothes for them as a swimming or sports costume option. The outfit change would happen, but it wouldn’t affect their appearance in any way, and we’d get our “clothed swimming” or “playing ball in everyday clothes”.

But what does make sense to make toggleable - outfit change effects. Along with musical notes, hearts, flowers, speech bubbles, and other special effects :+1:

As a simple clothing related effect (I think it was also in Sims 3) in their home, they could leave a small pile of clothes behind we can gather in a laundry basket and wash, which might give a positive moodlet like the fabric freshener on the bed. Clearly not a priority, but as a nice addition at a later point
