Could you please expand each town just a bit more? All jobs in every town, please!!

Are you serious ? How did i not read this? I was in complete shock when read it. :joy:

Wow! You’re not very nice, are you?! Nor do you understand what I am trying to explain. I’m sure other’s will, though! Enjoy your emojis.

Since responded to your comments i must be a pretty good person. Others will say similar things.

Rockstar is a big company that had 20+ years of experience with the game. Same as Maxis with the Sims. Not to mention that they have a lot more resources (financially and staff). Kjun said multiple times that this is the first time he works on a project like this. To expect the team to have a big, smooth running open world is too optimistic in my opinion. The worlds we have now are already relatively big and very detailed. If anything, we can maybe expect a bigger world as am expansion pack. And the Sims 3 open world was a buggy mess on release and still has bugs that only got fixed through mods (nraas and other optimization mods). I rather have a stable, smaller game, than a game that needs constant fixing through mods. And inZoi is nowhere near a stable state yet

I realize where you two are coming from. I just don’t mean it like that. Might…? LOL! Most likely is my ADHD getting in the way on me explaining it better, What I mean is.

  1. We now have the hardware to play games that big on our computers.
  2. Kjun can do what ever he wants with his game. I’m just using a huge game like GTA as an example to remind everyone that when the excuse comes up “Our computers can’t handle a game that big” It’s NONSENSE!
  3. Maybe looking much farther into the future. Remember that Will Wright was told “The Sims” would never make it. Eventually Will Wright got the help he needed and here we are.
  4. This is a wishlist after all
  5. I just want Kjun to understand that with the tools we have on computers these days absolutely ANYTHING is possible.
  6. If Kjun wants to keep his game this small, that’s fine. I just wouldn’t be surprised if he got scared about making bigger maps because everyone else said it couldn’t be done.
  7. Once again. I used GTA as an example to explain how beautifully our computers handle huge game like GTA. Really! That’s all. Just wanted to give Kjun the encouragement to “Go Wild” if he wanted to.

Really?! You thought Sims 3 was buggy on release? I didn’t get that opinion at all. I know it’s a mess now. LOL! The only thing I remember people having a problem with was being able to put their cars into the backpacks. They missed the animation of pulling their cars out of their driveways. I had no problems with the Sims 3 until “Into the Future” I remember the E Pack with the diving and and resorts was smooth like butter. I think an update caused a bug which still isn’t fixed and that messed up the Sims 3. I have tried all kinds of ways to see if it was just one certain E Pack and realized the game must have been corrupted somehow.

Maybe you were lucky back then, but the release really was a mess to most people. You can easily see that when you see older reviews and research it. I love Sims 3, but mods had to keep it afloat for most people

Your Will Wright comparison is not entirely correct. It was because the genre itself seemed risky, not the technical difficulties. I recently watched the history of the Sims and back then the idea of the “virtual doll house” seemed risky as a genre. Not tech-wise.

With the technical difficulties now I also cannot quite agree. People now still have issues with inZoi even if they run it on minimum specs where it should run well.

Plus, the programming in a game like GTA or any other open world game is different than in an autonomous AI working game that constantly has to make decisions (like autonomous npc or player family per example) compared to a pre-programmed game with pre-programmed routes for the npc. In my opinion, it is difficult to draw those comparisons and I don’t think Kjun is intimidated because people think it might be too much. I think it’s the opposite. Instead of making it bigger, they can focus more on making it a more stable, individual, interesting experience. I rather take a bigger world in a possible future expansion pack than having them try to implement it now while the game is still far from where it should be.

That said, I do understand your point, but there is much more tech in a game like this than it might seem and it is difficult to compare completely different genres even if both have an open world. Not to mention the graphical difference between the games

What sort of reply is that? I even agreed that you might have been lucky that it ran that well. I never got personal

No! I’m so sorry! I took it out on you! The person before you was just…Anyway! Yeah, the game was great! was super smooth! I know these days the Sims 3 really struggles. I really think, however. Could it be possible that switching from physical CDs to digital might have screwed something up? Hmm, no that doesn’t make sense. We all probably have complete digital by now. Maybe that’s the problem. I notice just about every digital game (Which is every game these days) has it’s bugs. I don’t know. Maybe we think we got it made by having early access and I CERTAINLY enjoy it! Bugs and all. Maybe, though, physical copies can be read better by the computer? Bah! Then again. Do you remember the red blotches bug when there was snow in the sims 2? That is the physical copy days. Ok! I relent! To a point! Maybe it did get too much, all those huge towns from the Sims 3. I’m just nervous! I saw the newest town that came with High School and immediately got Sims 4 town vibes! So little spaces for moving in. I love the big family aspects and if there are only four to five lots for EVERYTHING. Could there be an in between? Not as big as Sims 3 and not as small as Sims 4? Or! Even better! Some sort of “Build a World” tool? Maybe…I have a pretty good computer! Not trying to dump on people’s computers, but I got at least two T on my computer and plan to go higher eventually. What do you think of possible neighbor hood expansions that can be downloaded? Like if people struggle with bigger towns, that’s fine! No need to add on to your computer! Just saying if people like me want more space in their towns, they can have it.

I personally think that the structures of the current towns are not per se “too small”, but maybe “empty” is a better word for it. I don’t know when exactly, but Kjun did mention somewhere to extend to more housing plots in the future and community properties with more functions, plus they were talking about custom maps, but it’s not fully confirmed. I think this would make the town already livelier and more fun to interact with rather than “just” making it bigger. We’re going to get fully functional and mandatory stores too (groceries etc.). In my personal opinion, this might be a good system for inZoi rather than going for what a Sims game did. On that note, I can see neighborhood dlcs coming after the full release

Well! What ever happens, I’m truly excited! I haven’t played it myself yet, have you? The criminal part of the game? I’ve only seen youtube videos but my eyes nearly fell out of my head! Just the details to it! You get arrested, no rabbit hole, actually in jail, you have to go in front of a judge with a lawyer and can even break out! I’m just like sitting here with my popcorn saying “What more ya got?!”

I got accidentally fined because my freelancer delivery job bugged and I couldn’t deliver the parcel lol. And I was in jail once because I ran over a pedestrian. I was running late to my job and didn’t see her. Whoops. When I was in jail, my game just crashed and closed. My pc wanted to clear my name it seems . InZoi has something great going. Once they polish it more, this game will be even more fantastic

I totally agree! I think that is what I was trying to say to the other person. You know things do change. I just realized I keep thinking sims 3 because that’s all I really know! I bet you! I’ll enjoy what Kjun has up his sleeves even more! I’m so impatient! Can’t you tell!

NEVER WOULD HAVE GUEEEEESSED! I get where you’re coming from. The end of August update will be a bigger one again where they deepen mechanics, interactions and so on. Basically polish what we have and I think it’s a good idea. Just today I had another huge business bug. So it’s good that they’ll take their time and solidify the foundation to build more stable things on it, so to speak
