After the last update, the transition between day and night happens abruptly, and the shadows aren’t moving anymore.

Thanks for taking the time to report this. I don’t think I’ve seen another report describing this exact issue yet, so it’s definitely worth documenting.

Could you also complete the rest of the bug report template when you have a chance? In particular:

  • Game version
  • Platform
  • Whether you’ve ever used mods
  • CPU
  • GPU
  • RAM
  • Storage
  • Steps to reproduce the issue

I know it can seem like hardware specs aren’t related to a day/night cycle bug, but they’re actually very helpful. When multiple players report the same issue, the team compares those details to see if there are any common factors (specific GPUs, drivers, platforms, settings, etc.), which can make reproducing and fixing the bug much easier.

If possible, could you also let us know:

  • Do you have any mods?
  • Does this happen in every save or only one particular save?
  • Are you playing in ultra / medium/ low etc?
  • Have you changed any graphics settings since the update? (sometimes they reset!)
  • If you have a short video showing the transition from day to night and the shadows not moving, that would also be very helpful, as it makes the issue much easier to visualize.
