FIXED: Game crashes on startup – CFCore error ("Couldn't load mods library from disk")

The game crashes immediately on startup. I already tried:

  • Clean reinstall
  • Deleted AppData and Documents folders
  • Repaired Visual C++ Redistributable
  • Verified game files

The log shows: “Couldn’t load mods library from disk (CFCore)”

For anyone experiencing the same issue: I managed to fix it using the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition application.

If you have an AMD GPU, open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, click Settings (the gear icon), go to System, and select Factory Reset.
