Dynamic Skin Details for Create a Zoi (CAZ)

I think this type of content perfectly demonstrates something that could inspire the Create a Zoi (CAS) system in inZOI.

The creator isn’t just making bikinis—they’re adding skin details that tell a story. These small details make every character feel more unique, realistic, and lived-in.

Some features that could work really well in inZOI include:

  • Natural tan lines that gradually appear depending on the clothing your Zoi wears while spending time in the sun.

  • Sunburns with different levels of intensity based on sun exposure and whether sunscreen was applied.

  • Sunscreen overlays, showing visible sunscreen before it is absorbed or washed away.

  • Gradual tanning, where skin tone changes naturally over several days instead of instantly.

  • Different tan patterns created by bikinis, swimsuits, tank tops, watches, rings, sunglasses, and other accessories.

  • Peeling skin after a severe sunburn.

  • Slight redness after spending a long day at the beach or outdoors.

  • Skin-tone adaptive effects, so tanning and sunburn look natural on every skin tone.

  • Temporary and permanent options, allowing these details to either fade naturally over time or be added manually in CAS as cosmetic details for storytelling.

The ideal approach would be to give players two different ways to use these features:

  • Manually add them in Create a Zoi (CAS) to create a specific story or look.

  • Let them appear dynamically through gameplay as a natural result of your Zoi’s lifestyle, such as spending time at the beach, swimming, hiking, exercising outdoors, or working under the sun.

I think details like these fit perfectly with the philosophy of a life simulation game because they allow a character’s appearance to evolve naturally based on how they live, rather than remaining completely static. Small details like these can make every Zoi feel more personal, immersive, and unique.

Natural Body (Zoi / CAZ)
A look like:
realistic human
calm / melancholic vibe
more natural and cinematic
:small_blue_diamond: Chest Avoid (stiffness (don’t make a “perfect sphere”)
A slight natural sag looks more realistic
:small_blue_diamond: Stomach
:small_blue_diamond: Waist
:small_blue_diamond:More natural belly button
:small_blue_diamond: Hips / torso
:small_blue_diamond: Muscles / definition

:artist_palette:Exemple: Skin style (“Sims 3 melancholic”)

Soft texture, not too high-definition
Matte or semi-matte finish
Low shine (avoid “wet” look)
Slightly cool/desaturated tones
Soft shadows on face and body
Small natural imperfections (very important)

Yeah!! I agree and would be more realistic if they added a more crowded beach :umbrella_on_ground: so that it feels more alive and engaging

I’ve already raised this suggestion here Add the ability for Zoi to sunbathe.
Why repeat this in a circle? It’s better to add this to my theme as an addition so that everything is in one place.

I think CAZ is based on the underlying UE5 engine. The game can merely customize what UE5 provides.

You probably want to the game at 10-15 fps. The graphics card is an RTX 11090. Sometimes realize that you’re asking for too much.

I understand perfectly. I’m not going to wipe my head because of other people’s PCs. We know that technology will evolve, and inZOI is a next-gen game, so I’m not going to do that.

Thank you.

Me too
