Use Photo Mode Pictures as Wall Photos, Albums, and Corkboard Memories

I would love to see an option where the photos we take in inZOI’s photo mode can become actual in-game objects. (not a priority, but a lovely detail)

Right now, we can take beautiful screenshots and capture important moments, but those memories mostly stay outside the game. I know that we can upload custom textures into the photo frames, but it would be wonderful if we could bring them back into our Zois’ homes and lives properly.

Some possible uses could be:

  • Frame photos and hang them on walls

  • Place photos on desks, shelves, nightstands, cafés, studios or family homes

  • Create photo albums with selected pictures

  • Use corkboards as functional memory boards

  • Pin photos, notes, tickets, drawings or postcards to a corkboard

  • Let Zois look at old pictures and receive small moodlets

  • Use family, couple, friendship, wedding, school or travel photos as decoration

  • Create custom gallery walls for homes, cafés or community lots

For example, a corkboard like this (picture below) could become much more meaningful if we could add our own in-game photos to it. A teen Zoi could pin school memories, a family could keep vacation photos, an artist could collect references, and a café owner could display customer photos or memories from the business.

It does not need to be extremely complicated at first. Even a basic system where we choose a saved photo, select a frame or corkboard slot, and place it as decoration would already add a lot :four_leaf_clover:

P.S.: It is even called “creative corkboard” so it seems like there will be a function planned for it.

I’d just love if we could treat the pictures we take in game as actual photos in inZOI. I remember in Sims, we could even hang our photos in a frame or post them in a blog. That was fun

We have this ability, it’s not direct though, we have to get the photos from C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\inZOI\Photo, if the photos are not 1:1 aspect ratio we have to crop them or add to them or they will stretch when used in a photo frame, which is probably why this feature hasn’t been added to inZOI. But hey you can put all of the Photo Mode Pictures that you like on your walls. :slightly_smiling_face:

I know. It’s like uploading the picture into the frame. I did that with some paintings. And horizontal photos never really properly fit, because there is no exact frame for that.

My request is for a proper use of the corkboard above, maybe even having them in an ingame gallery to browse with our Zoi (album) and moodlets along with it. So they are not just like a screenshot, but like an actual photo. Thanks again though for the detailed description :four_leaf_clover:

[Pictures taken with photo mode will automatically be made into a photo album and be placed in the inventory.

This feature can be toggled on and off in photo mode.]

Since this is a feature now with this update, it’s getting closer to the ideas in this thread and I hope they’ll add more functions to photos​:four_leaf_clover:
