Dear kjun,
First of all, ![]()
I LOVE this update and absolutely cant wait. If there’s one small request i can make… Basically, add underwater collection spots and treasure chests so that we could explore the sea for the cahaya resort treasures ![]()
Maybe even add these treasures to the collection as well? It wouldnt require too much extra to do either since the models and system already exists. And rework the cahaya treasure exchange by being able to exchange treasure sets for items. So, instead of a coral being worth like 10 points, 3 types of corals would be required to exchange for a chair (as an example). That would encourage us to actually go treasure hunting as it adds another gameplay element. That way, we not only would have more collections to complete, but also have a way to trade off excess treasures. And once again, please rework the bliss bay undereater scenery to be more lively. Obviously nothing as intricate as cahaya since it’s not a dive spot, but maybe some underwater fish and some rock formations?
Also, please add the ability to run a furniture store business so that we could truly create the business of our dreams. This would allow us to run anything from toy stores to car dealerships (speaking of toy stores, children need more toys. Some variations of teddy bears and small toys would be appreciated. As well as doll houses since we dont currently have them). And also the ability for kids and toddlers to play with the claw machine toys so that they become more than just random decor.
And speaking of stores in general, PLEASE add bubble tea (버블티) shops to the game. It’s such a big thing world wide, can be turned into a skill (similar to coffee), and I’m sure tons of players would absolutely LOVE running a bubble tea shop. It’s as popular as clothing stores and a proper restaurant business with servers. Plus, it’d make the tea lovers feel less neglected since coffee got so much attention and tea is an afterthought ![]()

Oh, and also, the shop signs. I love that they’re there, but so far it’s limiting since you can only choose specific designs. A quick and easy fix would be adding the ability to upload custom textures. Users could even create shop sign flavor packs and easily upload them to canvas.
Anyways, with that out of the way, I have a few more requests that are bound to be popular.
First up, optimization. I think the best way to approach this would be “out of sight, out of mind”. Basically, dont render objects a player cant see since a player doesn’t care. I wouldnt mind waiting for a few moments for a lot to load. Neither would other players, provided there are no visible loading screens. If the loading screens are invisible, players wouldn’t give 2 hoots. So for example, instead of a brief loading screen appearing when a zoi boards the bus, make the game wait for a moment and then pan over to the zoi when the area is loaded in. Same with properties. Unless a player is actively looking at a lot, just load in the outside and once a player interacts with said lot, load in the inside as well. This system could also functions with instanced lots since, again, the avarage life sims player doesnt really care about something they cant see nor will ever see.
Now, as for the second request… im sure you hear this all the time, but we need more residential lots. I have a solution for said problem, though including all 3 would be better
-
The obvious one would just be adding more residential lots. Done.
-
Allow multiple families to live on the same lot and create actual apartment units. That would solve the scarce real estate, and eliminate the players feeling pressured to make some hard choices. Plus, it’s give the 30 floor limit an actual reason for being that high. Of course, beyond residential, allow us to also build multiple types on the same lot. So, floor 1 is bakery, floor 2 is apartments, and floor 3 is a law agency (for example). When it comes to cities, there’s very limited space to build side by side, so they’re usually built up. It’s the norm in any major city to see multiple businesses in the same building, as well as residential units located above small shops, and inzoi shouldn’t be any different.
-
Ability to change lot types. Basically, allow us to freely edit the type of lot a certain lot is. So for example, lets say I dont need the 50th bakery and wish it was a house instead. Being able to change the lot type from business to residential would let us build a house right there. Ezpz. If a player removes needed lots like a lab or a highschool, zois would simply commute off screen and the career will be treated like a rabbithole.
I had a HUGE idea of how multiple dwellings and business types can be built on the same lot, but i’d need more time to summarize it in a straightforward way (hurray for summer vacation!) So… stay tuned i guess ![]()
Anyways, as a final note, I wanted to reply to your Wednesday response. Particularly when it comes to how skills are gained. In the real world, skills require both theory and practice. When it comes to inzoi, skills could be reworked so that different skills of different levels would need studying as well as practice to level up said skill. For example, a level 1 artist would need 10% theory and 90% practice to advance to the next level, while a level 4 artist would require 80% theory and 20% practice. The values would be different for different skills since they all require varying degrees of knowledge and experience.
Now, when it comes to cooking specifically, unless a zoi is at a low skill level, all food will come out normal quality (for levels 5 and up), and sometimes a bit higher depending on mood. To get it to perfect quality, the zoi would need to have cooked said food multiple times. So for example, a zoi that cooked cookies 30 times will almost always make perfect cookies. I think 10 times per quality level should be the sweet spot. Of course, if a zoi is in a bad mood, theres a chance they’ll burn the dish (higher chance for lower levels), and the dish will still come out bad. That will add MUCH more depth to the cooking system and prevent us from ending up with a master chef zoi during every single playthrough. It can also be used to simulate us “coming up with our own menu” for our business in a way.
Anyways, thank you once again for the wonderful post (incredibly excited for the hotels and free diving. And a HUGE thank you for including less modest lingerie. Thank you!) And im already looking forward to the update ![]()
