Agree @Mazikeen … This breaks the entire save file… At least it would for me. Cannot imagine to run around with the mask for the rest of the Zois life. Really sorry for you.
I think i’m going to lose my mind. 
What am i going to do now? I don’t want to play anymore. 
Can you go back to a save file before you put on the mask or is it too long ago?
I would have to magically go back 7-8 save files which is impossible.
I think the safest thing for your sanity for now is letting the game rest. I also didn’t touch my main save file since the business bug. Just in between to check if they fixed it. I hate it so much because I became pretty attached to my Zois.
In previous years another game crashed 100 times in a row and i eventually smashed the screen to pieces. Then i went and said a lot of harsh things on their Steam page. If I lose my save file i might lose my mind again because of this ridiculous bug.

Don’t get me wrong. I really fully understand your frustration, I would freak out as well if it would happen in my safe file and especially if it is one of my main safe files.
I had such situations several times in Sims 3 - like in the second generation something broke completely after you had invested so much in building all up. Or I also had it with Inzoi earlier when the whole town turned into a dead / ghost town with the dead walking around alive and ghosts all over the place bug and this in the 3rd generation of one of my main save files. I can really understand how angry you are.
Unfortunately there seems not to be a solution so far. What helped me in such cases is to dive into a new or another current save file if the mood allows or if not doing something else to calm the nerves first and then dive into another save file.
I wasn’t experiencing the problems you mentioned in Sims 3 NRAAS mods.
But i think these bugs are making the game unplayable on Inzoi. Unfortunately Inzoi doesn’t have script mod support.
The curse of early access games. At least that is an “excuse”. With these bugs the full release still seems miles away
I also used NRAAS mods in Sims 3. Unfortunately one of the saves broke also with NRAAS. I had a rotational game play with 10 families, all already in the second generation and all of a sudden all family relationships were gone. Nobody was married anymore and children did not had their parents as parents anymore. I had to abandon this save forever unfortunately.

Agree @Minthyuyu and there are more such bugs. This is unfortunately not the only one. You can only be lucky if you do not run into one of these critical ones. But this can happen to anyone of us…
I was even playing with sims 3 1100 mods and 8 - 16 GB RAM support. I increased the amount of RAM using a virtual disk.
This is exactly why I decided to give the game another long break again. I started playing it again a few patches before 0.9.0, then it broke for me again (my main gameplay was a coffee shop). So I will put it back onto the waiting list again and give room to other games before I lose my sanity

@Mazikeen, don’t worry, just take a little break from the game! Have some mint tea, go back to Sims 3 for a while… Whatever it is — it’s definitely not worth damaging your equipment, and most importantly — your nerves! 
I think the developers will eventually make some changes to the autonomous outfit change system. We’ve asked for this so there won’t be those ridiculous back-and-forth outfit changes on beaches and other places. It’s quite possible that this change will also affect this bug, so the save will fix itself. At least, I’m hoping for that.
Oh my friend there’s no option to take the mask off. You can try it yourself if you want.
To get rid of the mask, have them change into their every day clothes / another fit 2x. I have found that the first time it applies the fit with the mask, the second applies the fit without. Probably a bug, but that’s what happens.
IF you click change outfit and you can only select “use umbrella” that means you’re supposed to be in jail and the game won’t let you switch your fit until you’re out of jail.
