Zois are "asleep" but they aren't really at all though >_<

  • Game Version:

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…) OMEN Gaming Laptop 16
    AMD Ryzen 9 2.4GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060
    32 GB RAM
1 TB SSD, over 400 GB free

  • Steps to Reproduce:
I have a TON of mods, cheats enabled and use them often.

I moved my Zois from Bliss Bay to Cahaya and back again, everything seemed fine and shortly after, I realized 2 of my 5 Zois were showing “asleep” in their thumbnail image and circle icon. I did emergency rescue, validated files, moved them to another household and nothing worked.

  • Zoi could do most things so I did not even notice immediately, until I tried to initiate a “move in with each other” interactiona nd it kept disappearing. Some conversations worked fine, if not initiated by my “sleeping” Zoi, but not the “moving in” convo

  • I am playing from a previous save file and starting over but wanted to report it. Please lmk if you’d like my save file, I can attach to an email

Also, the Zoi at the bottom (white arrow) also went bald in her circle picture at the same time that the other two Zois got stuck on sleep - this is unrelated I feel but who knows, lol.

When the bald Zoi was born, she had an “adult” modded hairstyle at first and of course I changed it. But once the 2 Zois went to “sleep,” her circle image reverted to this weird image and I can’t update it. Tried moving her to diff household, emergency rescue, and going into CAZ both via “edit Zoi” and using the cheat code “custom zoi ######” - nothing worked.

This is not the focus of my post but is notable

Thanks! Appreciate your time! :psycat_thumbsup:

Heya:four_leaf_clover:. I’m not sure if it will help, but maybe try the “calm-it” donut that removes all moodlets? It might remove that “sleeping” moodlet.

Another idea I have is maybe try letting the sleep need go low and then go to sleep again?

I’m not sure those ideas will help, but maybe it will do something. I hope it can be fixed:four_leaf_clover:

Great ideas!

I will re-open that save file and give them a whirl and share what I find :thankyou: :psycat_cahaya:

That would be nice. I’m curious if any of those work.

@shanonoyouknow I had the same issue with one of my Zois which I did not play actively when I noticed that something is not normal with her - I play rotationally with several families. I noticed that she was around in the city but it was impossible to talk to her, it always cancelled out. Then I went to her household to check and it was exactly as you have described above. She was sleeping even though she was not. In my case the emergency rescue did wake her up though. So sad to hear that it did not help for you.

I don’t think that it has to do with any mods as I am not using any and had the same issue.

The “calm it” donut did not work, but making them sleep until they woke up worked perfectly! :thankyou:

So obvious but it did not occur to me - thank you so much for your quick reply earlier! If I didn’t have to work, I would have tried it immediately

I play similarly to you :me_too:

In the beginning, I mostly built and did CAZ, waiting for the relationships to catch up to the hyperrealistic graphics. :psycat_thumbsup:

We are not there yet with the relationships, but the last few updates have been enough to entice me to start playing rotationally again. I love to fill up my “towns” but truly only focus on 5 or 6, often related to some extent. But no Zoi is safe from cheat code “custom zoi #####” in my game :joy_cat:

I am over the moon - sooo much improvement, I have been really enjoying myself :custom_heart: Can NOT wait until we can upload a whole family of Zois to Canvas :psycat_cahaya:

Oh! And once I had my two “sleeping” Zois taken care of, I closed out of inzoi and relaunched - even my bald Zoi got her hair back in her circle pic :joy_cat:

I’m glad that that worked for you. There used to be a similar problem but with a food moodlet and the solution was similar to this so I was hoping it would have the same effect. Good to know that they “woke up” properly now:four_leaf_clover:

So waking up properly makes hair regrow… good to know:rofl:. All’s well that ends well:four_leaf_clover:

Good to hear that it is solved and you can play normally again
