Im not sure how this works but I’m gonna try to get this out there so hopefully this issue will get resolved.

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this issue or not but almost every time I’m trying to have my Zois go to sleep, they will not stay in the beds, I have to redirect them back to the bed multiple times before they actually stay in the bed.

In addition to this I am now experiencing a new bug. One of my Zois needs to use the bookshelf to write something as a career task, he will pull the “notebook” out from the shelf and then immediately put it back making it impossible to complete his work task. I tried to replace the bookshelf with a new one and did “emergency rescue” on the Zoi who needed to use the bookshelf and neither fixed the issue.

I don’t use any Mods, I play on a MacBook with Steam. (idk how to screen record or take/import screenshots)

Maybe try to replace the desk/table and chair too, that could also be cause of the issue. Maybe the chair didn’t snap correctly to the table or is only accessable from the other side.

If you’re talking about sending them to sleep, then they wake up and you have to send them back again ?

Then that is on purpose since 0.4.5 (I think)
They put in an artificial needs depletion and enforced a 8am-10pm lifestyle for all zois.
What this means is that if you send your Zoi to sleep BEFORE 10pm, they will keep waking up.
Also, if you try to have your Zoi sleep later than 8am, they will also keep waking up.
That is one reason.

Other things that can cause them to wake up are really low hunger/bathroom gauge or having newborns/toddlers that can and will keep your Zoi waking up all the time for the whole night (Which I am assuming you do not have any issues with for either).

If it is for my first reason, you might want to support the request to get rid of the forced lifestyle and artificial needs depletion post in the Wishlist section of the forum.

Good luck !

I didn’t know that! Thank you for the information. I usually have their needs up before sending them to bed but it is usually before 10pm.. (:

Hmm what about zois like me that go to sleep at different hours like sometimes 5am, 1am, 7am or even pulling all-nighters?

Unfortunately, I’ve experienced the bookshelf bug since the big October update (maybe one or two patches sooner, not sure though). In my case the wish is fulfilled after the Zoi puts the book right back onto the shelf though.

Hi everyone (@here),
When it’s not officially bedtime, Zois can only sleep in the form of a nap.
So if you select “Sleep” outside of bedtime hours, they’ll wake up again within 1–2 in-game hours.

If you’d like them to continue sleeping, please use the “Keep Sleeping” instead.

As for the issue with the bookshelf, we’re still investigating it — we’ll update you as soon as we have more information.

@osborngrayson01, To help the inZOI Team track and review reports more efficiently, we kindly ask that you report one bug per post going forward.
Thanks for your understanding and for helping us improve inZOI!

Ya know… if the goal is to get people to sleep from 10 PM to 6 AM, it strikes me as counterintuitive to wake them up AFTER 10 PM :stuck_out_tongue:

Like, family member goes to sleep at 9:50 PM, wakes up at 11:20 PM. And in all honesty, I can’t juggle them all to intercept him from going to sleep 10 minutes early. Not sure how that helps make him sleep from 10 PM to 6 AM :stuck_out_tongue:
