Please recognize objects already on home lot as fulfilled for the ambitions

Many of the current ambitions start with a goal to purchase a certain item like a yoga mat or a bookshelf, fitness equipment, coffee grinder, plants, easel, microphone, instrument and so on. This might seem like a good idea when your Zoi has just moved in and has nothing in his home yet. But the longer we play the more we play in households which already have a lot of stuff in their house.

This leads to these goals being just annoying: you have to go into the build mode, purchase the needed item, place it, go back to live mode, unpause and let the game notice the newly bought item, go back to build mode, sell the item, go back to live mode and use the item you already had in your house for the relevant skill before all this.

So my ask is one of these 2 options:

  1. let the game recognize that the relevant item is already on your home lot and mark the goal as complete if this is the case - this would be the most obvious and easy fix
  2. or replace these “buy X” goals with something more gameplay relevant for this concrete ambition

Not a huge thing but a small adjustment which would make the game smoother for these situations.

Yes, this really should be changed. Yesterday I had to buy a bookshelf even though there were already three bookshelves in the house.

I would also much prefer having an actual task to complete instead of simply being told to buy something.

@Mazikeen thanks for supporting :grin: This is just a so unnecessary step as it is now.

Thanks for that wishlist post:four_leaf_clover:. It’s really needed.

I honestly also hope for a better reward system for ambitions. Because right now, I just do them for the sake of doing them.

For something like the barista ambition (I know it was called differently, I don’t remember), it would be cool if we get an exclusive coffee machine and grinder combo as motivation to do the ambition in the first place. Or for the baking/cooking one, exclusive recipes or also a gadget one can only get through that. It would make it feel much more rewarding.

@Minthyuyu thanks for supporting!

And yes - I would really appreciate better rewards as well. At the moment most of them are not even noticable. Best are probably still the ones where you can directly purchase the silver or gold pickaxe or fishing rod from the store or that your family or business relationships or certain skills increase at a faster rate and such but for the most part of the reward is just some random interaction you can do which basically does nothing special. I really hope this gets improved in the future.
